I liked the 1000 instances in Mass Effect 3 where Shepard would have a handgun out during a cutscene and then do the assault rifle holstering animation over the shoulder, resulting in the handgun teleporting onto his hip

I think I remember the renegade option was to give him the classic Shepard right hook or something, but the janky animations and weird sound effects made it all super confusing.

Yeah, Renegade was popping him with the hook a cheap shot and giving him a bloody nose and Paragon was throwing him onto the ground after catching his punch.

Yep, there's two renegade interrupts where Shepard will land a punch on Vega, and there's two paragon interrupts where if you don't do them, Vega lands a punch on Shepard. In between that they're meant to be blocking or dodging the punches.

To be fair it probably saves a lot of money and only ridiculous people notice or care, I've played the games like 10 times each and I didn't notice until you dropped that truth bomb .gif up in here

Every time the music hits crescendo and poo poo is about to get done someone does the serious head turn and purposeful walk animation. It's awesome and stupid every time and yeah it happens constantly.

I tend to notice those sorts of things pretty quickly but don't give a poo poo because my suspension of disbelief isn't that fragile.

Bioware reused all those animations because they knew one day they would hire Natalie Dormer and Natalie Dormer frequently does all those things.

I ultimately don't mind the reuse, but I think it would feel less egregious if they didn't use the same over the shoulder shot, reverse shot in every conversation, so you wind up seeing the same silhouette every time they used that animation.

Bioware recycles animations a shitton but I don't think they were reusing animations between the Aurora Engine and whatever the ME games used.

Yeah, if they just had the view from different angles sometimes the reused animation wouldn't be nearly so blatant.
