I really liked this episode overall. I was hoping the alliance would stick, but with how cagey the arkers have been about their plans it was bound to implode. The adventure to Becca's island was also very good. Jasper is still a poo poo, but I'm glad they used him to keep the list from being sat on all year. If anything they've set up a new list asap. My favourite thing about this show is how quickly it chews through plot, and season four has not disappointed in that aspect. If you think about it Bellamy sort of hosed Clarke making her put her name on the list, tho, which I kind of saw coming last episode but I liked it. Bet she could have spun it a little better with the population if she didn't include herself. Still hot water but not as bad, easier to come back from.

A couple dozen feet I'll buy but they made it look 200+ feet deep. I saw it coming when they did the 'vertigo moment' but uh, when it comes to 'crazy poo poo a protag survives' maybe less is more? I still love O though. She's from my rinky-dink hometown so it's awesome to see that y'all love her so much. Also I feel like at this point most sci-fi fans know Vancouver and BC like movie buffs know New York City and New Jersey.

She's from back east, yeah? I'm in Vancouver myself. All the city of light poo poo was hilarious with them not disguising the harbour and convention centre in any sci fi-y way. Agree that the cgi cliff looked at least three times as long a fall as it should have been, fwiw. Forreal tho O is great and as an aspiring actress with a Greek af last name I always appreciate the ones who don't take a stage name. Something about famous Greek Canadians seemingly always using their full names is like a fun tradition imo.

I'm kind of surprised that no one called Clarke out on trying to stop Jasper and Monty from doing pretty much exactly what her father tried to do on the Ark and got killed for. She got compared to Jaha but given her father issues that other parallel seems even more important. She's becoming the kind of person who would have put her father to death. Also yeah, I agree that they overdid Octavia's "death", and her horse being right there was a bit contrived too. Glad she's not actually dead though.

At least they revealed Octavia is alive at the end of the episode, instead of dragging it pretending she was really dead for half a season, like I feared they would, when it was so loving obvious that she was going to survive After all, what is taking a sword through you belly and then falling 200 meters into some rapids to our bulletproof protagonists? How would the list have worked anyway? How do you surprise 400 people with news that they're gonna die and expect them not to force their way on, especially since some of the people not on the list have guns? Was she just hoping that they'd suddenly be completely altruistic after lying to them for several months?
