Also last night I EMBRACED TRANQUILITY and was so chill I accidentally fell into the well on Ilios and couldn't stop laughing. I think there were a dozen Zenyattas that game all in all. So peaceful

I think the new hero is probably a set up, plot wise, for the eventual Doomfist release later this year. So the theft of the Doomfist will spring the new character to action, and then later we might have an event or something for the actual Doomfist reveal.

They spend a few seconds coordinating fire on the rest of my team, overtime drops to zero, and we lose. Play of the game pops up and its that Mercy. "It's gotta be the 4 player rez" I told my buddy. The gameplay starts and its overtime already and the whole play of the game is Mercy shooting at my teammates and mostly missing them with her pistol while the rest of her team wipes us out. The game ends a few seconds into the POTG as the last of us drop. The rez must have happened a few seconds before the POTG start, like the algorithm was asleep on the job or something. I wish I'd recorded it.

Iirc, that 4chan(?) leak from a few pages back said that the timeline of events is that Efi gets implemented, then there's a terrorist attack on Numbani, and then Efi's brother donnes the gauntlet and becomes Doomfist. So if Doomfist isn't the cause of this attack, then, according to that leak, he becomes the direct result of it.

PLOT TWIST Two new heroes are coming at once! The reason they're saying #24 won't be who we think it is is because #24 is unknown, but Doomfist is #25 and is being released at the same time. Just to gently caress with people.

Given Blizzard's track record of trying to fake out people, I went into this with the expectation that the new hero will be Widowmaker's twin brother, Widowermaker. He'll be an anti-sniper who deals crit bodyshots from melee range and is so universally loathed that widowmaker will make a "I'm the good twin" voice line. That way I can always honestly say that it was not who I thought it was, and be entirely correct about it..
