So with 200 out of 435 voters, isn't the bigger picture here that 46% of the Democratic Party wanted it to be led by a progressive? A nearly 50/50 split doesn't bode well for the party's future. For comparison - there's currently 52 sitting Tea Party caucus members in Congress out of 290 overall GOP members (18%). The Tea Party caucus peaked at 60 congressional members in 2011.
