Their model's more complicated than that and is based on the insane amount of metadata it compiles about its consumers; you decide how you feel about that. Either way, Bright is a huge feather in Netflix's cap because it was written as a big tentpole movie that Ayer sold to them because he had no faith in traditional studios to let him make the movie he wanted to make (mid-budget urban fantasy with a hard R rating). This is their chance to show they can play with the really big boys, so expect them to push the poo poo out of this.
