The zeus can hit 101kph with a xl400, MASC, ~21 tons of weapon space. MASC lets you be really loving annoying while playing next to corners, so if you rounded a corner, blapped someone in the face, and then retreated back around it or forward into new cover then it could be decent. Kind of suffers from the same issues as the gargoyle though.

I own one. If you're going to spend money on a MASC assault to chase down mediums while cackling it's the way to go.

Yeah the Huntsman looks great in MWO; it's the main selling point of the mech, really. It's not a bad mech by any means but everything it can do it is outclassed by either the HBK IIC, NVA, or SCR in some specialty.

It's glass cannon as all gently caress, but if all you want is the most SRMs you can possibly pack into a reasonably speedy medium chassis it's got something to offer. Basically the same gimmick as that one Cyclops, just half weight.

Just want to reiterate that the King Crab KGC-000 is awesome. I run it with 2 x uac5 & 4 x ac2 + 1ml + xl360 + whatever gubbins makes it all fit. It's a bit of a glass cannon/beast but is fun to play. A good game & you just watch all melt in front of you, a win for me

I opened 11 boxes one night, all with event keys I had earned, and out of 11 boxes the only thing I got of any value was a targeting module. The rest were things like Kit Fox omni pods, LRM 5s, a Clan ER PPC, etc.

It's worth keeping a couple of the ones where the common and uncommon drops are good, like MC. Keys are given away regularly in weekend events, and the keys are only useful for opening boxes. Even if you just sell whatever you get with the keys from your boxes it'll be worth more than the 50k you get from selling the box.

I got super lucky with my event keys. had 3 keys and 6 crates. Very first two I opened got me three more keys each to keep opening them up. Crazy good luck. Of course, all I really got from there was C-Bills but since I only have an Arctic Cheetah and a Stormcrow so far those C-Bills go a long way for me. Flanking and being a nuisance in the Cheetah is fun but I'm getting sickened by all these chickenshit LRM launcher heavys/assaults in quickplay and I think I'll get an atlas and hopefully force pushes myself with it.

Flashing mech lights, all sorts of funny horns that go off after a kill, goofy googly eye decals on mechs with neon paint jobs... I am so immersed in the Battletech universe. Maybe the can sell me sparkle skins, or change my footprints to be t-rex prints, or make my autocannons leave green splatter decals, or turn my damaged mech smoke orange. May as well go silly in a game that lets you strip down and rebuild any mech however you want (hell, IS mechs are more customizable than omnis in MWO) despite this very much not being a thing in-universe. If anything I treat MWO as something like 'BattleTech EXTREME' so why the gently caress not have horns that go off when you get a kill. (I still think the hero Highlander should have played big hair rock and roll all match to everyone in the game, as the pilot was known to do in the fluff though)
