Good luck on getting a Switch to those that did not preorder.

I would definitely like to play Horizon at some point. But the Switch will take up my gaming money for a while.

I honestly did not think there was enough coming out for the Switch this year for that to be the case.

Not that I will be buying lots of games, more than it's a decent chunk out of my yearly gaming budget. :) I try not to get too many things each year!

Oh okay. Thanks for clarifying.

It feels weird that I'm getting a Switch because I will pretty much play Zelda for three days and then ignore it for at least the next few weeks because Nier takes major priority (it being my most anticipated games) and if playing that goes long it might go right into my next most anticipated game's (P5) release so I might be spending all this money on this thing I'm not actually gonna get around to using all that much.

I really like Horizon so far, which actually surprises me. I do have a higher tolerance than I admit for open world gently caress-around games, but I really appreciate that Horizon doesn't litter its map with a bunch of copy-pasted busywork objectives and that the side quests at least have some story to them. The Witcher 3 it certainly ain't, but just because something isn't amazing doesn't mean it isn't still good.

Plus, fighting robot dinosaurs is fun and so is light stealth with overpowered whistle-luring and silent takedowns so :black101: let's do this

Horizon might be the first videogame where I've had the joy of chasing down a wild turkey and slamming my heavy hunting spear against its noble, fat body.

Such majestic birds, I can see why Ben Franklin was fond of them.

Horizon is a good game and looks fantastic in 4k/HDR

Zelda also seems like a very good game that I will buy after Horizon

There is no mission to the Andromeda Galaxy. It's all fake. You are cast as the captain in a secret project to fake a mission. Hilarity ensues.

This was literally the plot of a miniseries on Syfy a couple of years ago (except the captain didn't know either).

Man I really hope Nier is good. Honestly if it looks promising upon release and there's no issues with the port I will buy it full price on PC.

Thought about buying it for my PS4 which is just a Bloodborne machine so far but....

No, they are being yelled at thoroughly about bugs in the backer forums, and every piece of design criticism I give has dozens of likes. Speaking of which:

quote:

Fixed bug where stamina increases wrapped around from 255 to 0
Fixed bug where unlocked hero characters started with zero stats
Fixed bug where binding the block button would bind it to the menu button
Fixed bug where you could not access sub-menus of the pause menu while other players are in the menu
Fixed bug where it was possible to skip past the special move tutorial and not receive special moves, making it impossible to continue the tutorial
Fixed bug where you could buy Ground Pound for Alex (a non-functional move)

Inching towards the finish line...

That's quite an eclectic mix but at least you've got one actual good game in there (Gone Home).
