So the game has all the data from prior character patches in the latest version because otherwise they would have to update their combo trials and maybe some replays would break since they just store inputs and replay the match for you to save storage space.

However this is like the 2nd or 3rd time the game is loving up and pulling the old character data in matches.

The last time i remember was like if you played against alex when he was brand new, half way through a set you character would revert to launch version. I dont recall specifics.

They have a very bad file structure that makes this easy to happen iirc too

It was like, every character had versions 001, 002, etc. Since Alex was new his only version was 001. Every other character was on 002 at the time. The game drew from the version of your default character to load its frame values and such, so if you had Alex as your default then it would draw from the 001 versions of every other character too.

You take damage over time while frozen, so it's just some extra bonus damage when she stuns you (along with the "chill" effect preventing your stun from going down).

Like getting frozen by her V Trigger? It freezes the stun meter and prevents it from draining for a substantially longer period of time. Its the one thing I actually think is fun with her, since confirming into is pretty easy and it makes people really scared to do anything to you for freeze of getting stunned

You have to learn to recognise when it hits, CC or no, then confirm into whatever. hp or ex hands is the most obvious thing. You could just try buffering it but it's not that fast and someone could easily enough walk into it's range and be holding back when it comes out. I've been spending the last 15 minutes or so with it on random block and reacting to the orange flash of a hit. If it's a CC then it's a lot easier to see the hit in time.

Shame about him being a total garbage character, even lower down the tier list than he is in SF4 and half of his moveset being completely loving useless.
