Thanks, I hadn't seen that quote before and when you said "solve the villain problem" I thought that did not sound like something Feige would say.

On that score you're pretty much right. I had actually conflated two different articles that I had read close together. This is the other one: http://comicbook.com/2017/02/08/marvel-president-addresses-studio-s-troubles-with-villains/

If anyone's wondering how they managed to license the classic 1978 Superman John Williams theme for a Marvel character don't forget that all the X-Men films are co-produced by The Donners' Company. :eng101:

If they actually go through with having Thanos experience a full character arc and end with him retiring as a farmer or whatever like in the comics that would be amazing. But it's only going to be one movie now and two and is already going to be super bloated with characters and stuff even with a basic "Thanos shows up and gets all the gems together but is eventually overcome."

Well in the comics mega-crossover events are usually a bloated mess as well.
Still not always, right?

And whatever is going on with the two films it is still two films. They've just decided not to call the second one 'Infinity Wars'

Exactly. Xavier killed most of the x-men, the government successfully wiped out Mutants, shits really hosed in the x-men universe for mutants. Laura being a fan of the comics makes the final scene really tragic too.

Terrence Stamp and Michael Jackson auditioned for Xavier.
Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey auditioned for Storm. Fox considered Angela Basset but she asked for too much money.
Rachel Leigh Cook also asked for too much when Fox wanted her to play Rogue.
Danzig of course auditioned for Wolverine.
Shaq auditioned. He wanted to play Bishop, but writer David Hayter did not know the character.

I would be on board day 1 with Nathan Fillion as Cable, if that's true.

I'd like to think Shaq was high and just assumed and called them up being a comic nerd and asked to play a role that was never planned for.

"Hey David."
"Hello who is this?"
"KAZZAM! Let me play Bishop, man."
"!"
"I was born for it."
"Some kind of...mutant?!"

Ok I watched doctor strange from where I left off right through to the end, and I actually really liked it, I think I stopped watching like 2 minutes just before poo poo got really good (just before he got his cape).

The fights got better, strange became more than just a wisecracking empty dick, the stakes were a little higher and the action got way more inventive (loved the backwards time fight and the bargaining with dormammu )

also black dude's a baddie now? ok I can get behind that

I still think the first half of the movie doesn't do it any favours at all but i'm glad I watched it to the end.
