if i were a prudent german govt person idve suggested to the proper people long ago that maybe we should get as much nuclear material as we need to be the european nuke masters, and just put it into some lead lined crates and wait for a rainy day

I just did some reading and not only do they lease the missiles from US, all maintenance/testing/rearming for missiles and all of their submarines is done at a single Navy base in Georgia. We own their entire nuclear program top to bottom
