Imagine living in that hell trying to get a job/get out. On the bright side all the Yakoff Smirnoff you can handle! kiimo posted:I recently drove through Versailles, MO. Because money for these guys isn't the problem, but trading away valuable picks is. Why should the Patriots play ball with the rest of the league though? If the QB situation is that dire and if you really do believe in Garoppolo, then you have an inherent competitive advantage by hoarding quarterbacks unless someone offers a pound of flesh.

I went to Silver Dollar City 12 times one summer. My parents were determined to make those season tickets worth it. I loving hate Branson, and I didn't appreciate that period in US History enough to give a poo poo about Silver Dollar City when I was that age. For content, I'm trying to figure out who the Chiefs could splash sign. I mean, who knows what happens in the next couple days. A Maclin/Colquitt restructure? Cut? Hightower? A cheaper version of Maclin's production? A NT? I dunno.

Also, does Baltimore not keep lineman past their first contract as like a general rule or what? Seems like they've had a handful of quality lineman walk the last half decade and only ever kept Yanda.

At the start of the season Washington will have no GM, Cousins will be playing for San Francisco, Colt McCoy will be the starter, and every one of the draft picks that SF gave up for Cousins will already be off the team.

Every time a Houston team has a big free agent who's probably going to walk I hear the same old "You know Texas doesn't have state income tax so he could take less and stay" thing which makes me wonder if there has literally ever been anyone who that has actually been true for in either Texas or Florida

No, because Texas has much higher property taxes to compensate for their lower income and sales taxes, and that cost is passed on to renters too, so actually taxes in Texas aren't much lower than anywhere else in the country.

Grittybeard posted:In hindsight if McCloughan really has relapsed it seems like the most predictable thing ever with the way the Skins front office and ownership works. Yeah. This ownership is not known for competence or cohesion. It's a nepotistic shitshow and I wouldn't be surprised at all if McCloughan couldn't take the stress and had to bow out. Maybe we'll be able to maintain his services as an independent draft analyst (what he did before he became our GM), but it's clear the Washington FO is incapable of retaining talent. Hopefully Snyder will hire another GM, but given Allen's influence on the team I doubt he'll be anything more than a mouthpiece. The organization is hosed, has always been hosed, and will always be hosed so long as Snyder is in control.

https://twitter.com/ESPNdirocco/status/839233972626415616 Bye Bouye, thanks for the great year Wish the Texans had signed him to a two or three year deal before last season. Probably could have had him for like 3/6 or something. If he's really turned the corner and last season is who he really is, he's going to be a great sign for someone

I'm honestly surprised if the Jets aren't in on Bouye as well. I'm not sure if they want to jump in on paying a CB $14-15m per year when they're rebuilding but they need a starting CB and Macc helped draft him. Supposedly they're looking at Okung, Tony Jefferson, and the FB from Baltimore.

Alternatively, AJ Bouye is Byron Maxwell. CBs aren't allowed to be good as an Eagle. They'll be good before, suck in Philly, and then go back to being good. See: Rodgers-Cromartie, Byron Maxwell (I heard he was good this year), and let's not speak his name....Nnami. Lets go ahead and throw jackass Patrick Chung in there as well. 89 fucked around with this message at 23:42 on Mar 7, 2017 |

I'm not overly worried about losing Bouye I guess because most of his breakout occurred while Kevin Johnson was on IR, so the Texans should still have a very strong secondary. Just sucks to see a player blossom and then immediately leave (Connor Barwin?)
