Yeah, I was impressed with it. Especially since it has a character that combines two of Stephen King's biggest dialogue weaknesses: he's black and also a teenager. Somehow, despite some cringeworthy moments, me pulls it off though.

The internet really collectively turned on the It remake once Fukunaga stepped down, but I still hope it's decent. The 1990 adaptation really isn't that good.

Tim Curry takes that movie a long loving way.

Yoooo which of these should I see on Saint Patty's day?!?!!

Kuroneko/Onibaba double feature

Point Break/Roadhouse double feature

Clip show presented by Adam Curtis/Starship Troopers (with Adam Curtis and writer Editor Neumeier) double feature

All of these bad boys are 35 mm prints

Kuroneko-Onibaba is the best double feature but is kind of a downer if you're planning to have a normal fun St Patrick's. The other two will probably both get you pumped for drankin and are sick too so. I bet Point Break looks radical on the big screen.

I love when Raimi goes outside of his normal comfort zone. The Quick and the Dead is great, and For Love of the Game is pretty much a perfect baseball movie up until the bit when Costner is crying in his hotel room because it's just so hilariously bad.

Today I learned Sam Raimi directed For Love of the Game. Weird. I liked that movie when I was a kid, but never would have thought "Army of Darkness guy".

Like I said, totally out of Raimi's comfort zone. But it has a killer Poledouris score, and you've got Costner, John C. Reilly and J.K. Simmons giving it their all.

Edit: Also an incredibly young Jena Malone really nailing the "awkward teen with a single mom" role.

It's much less gross than Taxi Driver and I doubt you think people should skip that one.

To be fair, your first elevator pitch sounds way skeezier than this description. And you've got me pegged, I goddamn love Taxi Driver. I'll keep an eye out for this one.
