Hello,

This week Hello Games will be releasing the next content update for No Man's Sky. We're calling it the Path Finder Update; it introduces a new vehicle that will aid home planet exploration, building on the Foundation Update to hint at a path ahead for the future.

Detailed patch notes will be released when the update goes live.

Shortly after we launched the Foundation Update, we released a number of patches to address issues reported by players before beginning work on the Path Finder update. We were surprised and excited by the response to Foundation, and we have been listening carefully to community feedback since then.

To those of you who have spent time sharing feedback, whether positive or negative, we are listening.

This is the next step in our journey. It shows the path forward. We hope you'll join us.

Thank you,
Hello Games

i will not join you sorry
At this point even if No Man's Sky got a 2.0 update that makes it incredible it doesn't matter. There was half a dozen fantastic games released in the last few months, NMS is a faint memory now, even people who hated it don't give a poo poo anymore.

I've been watching a lot of Mark Brown's videos on YouTube lately. He always reminded me of someone but I could never place it until now.

He sounds like astrophysicist Brian Cox. He's the Brian Cox of videogames.

(Also you should watch his videos they're real good)

iirc the first Fate Stay Night game replaced the sex scenes with a bunch of cgi dragons flying around when the game got popular enough to warrant a clean version. There's probably other japanese franchises that started off as porn and made the jump to established non-porn IP, but the Fate franchise (and the other one about vampires by the same studio) are the biggest, I think.

That would be great because it would give some continuity to the dragon story that was one of the main things in Witcher 2 and then disappeared. I mean, outside of resolving it with some lovely official comic book where the dragon lady suddenly grew giant tits.

Haha, now that I have the 360 version of all these games I can finally check out the achievements and Guitar Hero 3 has one for beating the whole career mode on hard or expert using a dualshock instead of a guitar. That's gotta be borderline impossible for some of these drat songs.

Hahahaha no that's no JRPG, it's an old porno visual novel and it has nothing to recommend it in any way (including as porn, since it is the all-ages redacted version)

I just saw the orange box again as I am adding games to my grouvee pofile and I still think it might be one of the greatest 'games' ever sold. The content it came with is stellar.
Can anyone else think of collections like this that are as good? (As boxed copies that is, not digital sales).

I got the Quake pack when younger. It came with Q1 and three expansion, Q2 and both expansion, Q3 and Q3TA. That was awesome.
I also got the Doom box which had Ultimate Doom, Doom II and Final Doom (plutonia and tnt) along with an extra disc full of wads and tools.

to the few people who own both zelda and horizon, what are the main differences? just off the top of my head I'm thinking it's in:
--climbing mechanics
--weapon durability
--enemy variety

...but I'm curious how the locomotion of parachute stuff in Zelda compares to what moving around and traveling is like in Horizon, or if there's an analogue to the discoveries of kokoroks/shrines/shrine boss things in Horizon. Are they much different in world biome structures and platforming? I actually don't even know if Horizon has a jump button.

If you've played either of the new Tomb Raiders, Horizon's movement is much more analogous to that.

Horizon has a few "dungeons" in the form of cauldrons, which are big underground machine factories with boss fights at the end.

I cannot tell you how many times I almost made 5 stars but then missed by a couple thousand points. It is a double digit number. According to scorehero I made the cut by like less than ten thousand points (my secret was using star power on the easy parts to boost my score and ignore actually hitting notes) so I am pretty ecstatic because it means I'll never have to do it again. :toot:

Lots of classic JRPG people got their start doing eroge visual novels, hence all the talking in those games.

Horizon has a basic jump button but much simpler traversal than the average these days. Zelda is most definitely more about exploration and making that exploration a challenge in its own right, Horizon would rather be about combat and the experience of travel.

Guitar Hero 3. None of them have a very good looking UI but they're all pretty fun to look at at least. That said, I appreciate that the later games put all the relevant information in a straight line instead of scattered all over the screen in random places.
