He wouldn't have pinned Goto in a match with three CHAOS juniors one night after pinning Shibata if he wasn't going to be a heavyweight. Yes, the NEVER title is technically openweight but they'd never debut a junior that way. Look at Hiromu's reintroduction in November if you want to see how they'd push a junior as a star.Chris James 2 posted:With the three belts around his waist, yeah I can absolutely believe he steps on the scale at heavy weight levels Wouldn't shock me if he adds a fourth soon....

Plus, without ZSJ in the heavyweight division, Suzuki-Gun would just be an army of juniors (and one big gaijin) led by an already small heavyweight.

I wonder what the breakdown between English-speaking and Japanese diaspora fans will be. Have NJPW ever tried to do a show in Hawaii? It seems like an easy win - a shorter plane ride for the guys and a huge Japanese-American population.

But much like WWE making a single annual trip to Japan, those international NJPW ones are pretty regularly set. They ran three shows in Singapore last year and hopefully that's going to be the norm here going forward. They did the TV taping last November but last few years they have been running two spotshows back to back during the summer at the Chara Expo. This is a convention Bushiroad sponsors here with bandai and some others, mostly a bunch of tables of Cardfight! players/collectors and such, plus a lot of anime voice actors and Gundam stuff. They basically just plop a ring down in the far end of the hall and run the show, with it being free standing room for the seven bucks or so the festival admission costs, but you can pay an extra ten bucks for a ringside seat. They claimed the total attendance last year was 19,000 so it would seem to be pretty great exposure for them. They sold out most of the merchandise on the first day, and had Okada do autograph signings and such. Here's bushiroads press release from after the event, a picture of the size of the crowd and such is midway down to get an idea what it's like: http://www.mynewsdesk.com/sg/pinpoi...po-2016-1489171 Looks like their websites down so I can't post the cards but if anyone's curious I can dig out my program and take a picture. I'm pulling for Juice but a second round match up against Suzuki or Shibata doesn't bode well for his chances barring some shenanigans from the loser of the first round match. At least he should beat Yujiro.

A Juice chant. Whatever city this is knows what's up. Is David Finlay a junior btw? The makeup of the teams would suggest he is, but he looks around the same size as Naito, Juice and Shibata.
