Has anyone played the mobile Battlefleet Gothic game? It is supposed to be just like the table top game so that is intriguing.

BFG was always a game I wanted to try but it was dead by the time I found our about it.

I've got a couple of missions in, and yes, it's pretty much the tabletop game.

It is alright, the interface makes moving big groups of escorts a little tough since there's no sure way to make sure they're all pointed in the same direction.
AI is alright but it is obvious its coded mainly for the tyranids, so if you do a skirmish game against Imperial or Space Marine ships they'll go in for the boarding even if they're an escort and you're a Battleship.

Forge World's got a BB Rat Ogre on the way for the end of the month.

Maybe it's just the poor angle, but I think I'll stick to the plastic Isle of Blood/Spire of Dawn dudes. This one isn't doing it for me.

Wow for a Rat Ogre that has very very little exciting going on in the model. Its basically just a slightly scaled up skaven. That's super weak.

Yup, that looks like crap. Score another win in GW/FW's "take the promo picture from the worst possible angle" category.

Judging by the advice given in the latest WD regarding photographing your miniatures, GW seems to subscribe to the mantra of "take a photo of the angle with the most detail." It doesn't matter if the miniature looks good from that angle, they just want to see the view with the most detail.

So, yep, there is a lot of detail in that photo.

And it all looks pretty blah.

The rat ogre should be a hulking monster in a pose that highlights its presence, not looking like it is running the ball downfield.

It doesn't even look like it's doing that. It's pivoting about one foot like a pretty pretty ballerina.

IOB Rogre is much better for the job.

Looks like another boxed game on the way.

I can't place the skull though, it looks like a 'Stealer skull, but I've seen some Dark Elves skulls stylised similarly to that.

New BB pitch? The skull is very Wayne England-like, and very probably done in homage to him (he did a lot of BB art.) My guess is probably something AoS related though, since it fits the aesthetic more than it does 40K.

Well we already know the next team is goblins in April, I'm thinking Dark Elves. The skull is very similar to the executioners helms and and it looks like it has a helm wing like a few of the de helms have.

Someone on BoLS had said that they think it's a new Death playmat for AoS. It makes sense, since the skull looks like it's wearing the three pronged helmet of Nagash.

I'm a little concerned by the fact that he appears to have a bone-beard made of vertebrae. Either he looked very very strange in life or he stole somebody's spine in death and magically bonded it to his chin.

Let's be fair, that's not even Nagash's fourth(?) body at the time of End Times and that model. He's chewed through two more since AoS.

At some point you get the urge to try out new styles, like chin-spines, shoulder tentacles and over-compensating hats.

Nah, he got mutated/changed a lot in life due to all the warpstone he used. Also, he is motherfucking Nagash, he can do whatever he wants, like having a bonebeard, owning rad hats or bench-press a dragon.
