Have you read the old threads by the guy who was (is?) a clinic escort? What was the usual volume of protestors outside your location? What kind of stuff would they do?

What kind of scenarios led you to confrontations with patients? Just people being paranoid/irritated about security procedures and taking it out on you, or what?

Have you had to intervene between a visitor and a patient who were being disruptive much or do they mostly bring supportive people with them?

Woof Blitzer posted:Yes I have read those threads. The clinic nearest to me, which isn't planned parenthood, but does abortions.. the anti-abortion folks actually went one step further and managed to buy the store directly next to it in the strip mall. Then they put up a much bigger sign, and all kinds of FREE PREGNANCY TEST posters and employees standing outside (which the real clinic couldn't afford) so they'd trick girls into going into their "doctor's office" first. It happened to one of my girlfriends. They gave her the free test and then literally locked her in a room with a really creepy graphic anti-abortion movie playing on the TV. It wasn't super long or anything, so she didn't try to leave until they had still not brought her the results of her test, and the door wouldn't open. She pounded on it for awhile and finally someone came, told her she was pregnant and she got the hell out of there and went next door, where the employees were incredibly nice and told her that it happens all the time, they understood and felt horrible about what had just happened, but they just couldn't afford to do anything about it. Sorry that you got a better job. The people here are no-where near that insane and active, just quietly, secretly evil. But the clinic near me could have used one of you.

I heard that PP employees have the best abortion jokes around but are sworn to secrecy. Got any you can share?

Woof Blitzer posted:Three court cases. I'd like to hear more about the court cases you participated in. What type of cases were they? Any radical legal theories argued? Were you a party to the cases or just a witness?

Thanks! I'm going to have to get me one of those hybrids so I can low-key run over people I don't like.

I came here to see if it was anything like the PP escort threads (which the OP has read), and it turned into fun courtroom bullshit. That gets a 5.Shooting Blanks posted:(Dashcams) are a smart purchase for drat near anyone that drives, whether or not they're at risk of having insane people fall onto their hood. Hey Woof Blitzer, can you go through what would be just an ordinary day? Is it basically just checking ID and having people go through the metal detector and the occasional wanding (did you use metal detector wands? You mentioned concealed firearms so I'm guessing yes)? Here's a proper question: What was the general disposition of the medical staff and the office staff? This question is open-ended as all get out so take it as you wish.
