Get most of the money paid and then push them on subscriptions, it's worth a couple of emails imho. I'd be interested to see if they are brave enough to refuse, if you frame the argument in terms of them choosing to deny you access to something you already paid for.

You can get subscriptions refunded but you have to push them hard for it. You get in-"game" items as part of the subscription and they'll want to close your account which denies you access to them, also they promised badges and pirate stuff for subscriptions that they either never delivered or delivered late.

That one recently quoted ship sale page had a disclaimer that all items will be able to be acquired in game, and it specifically included flair items in that disclaimer as well.

Good luck with that.

But, Battlefield 1 comes with a second, totally separate, singleplayer game based in the same universe for free. Buying a season pass isn't required, it's more like a donation to the developers who are continually trying to expand the scope of the game. Really we should be paying $90 for the base game and another $45 for each expansion, also guns should be sold in limited quantities and cost hundreds of dollars, also these prices should always go up in the future never down. Not a cult.

$40 missiles, don't forget those.

Yes, this as well. Apparently nothing can move you if you are emoting. Even if you are doing it on a ship that is trying to take off, or exploding.

I've tuned out of the thread for a bit but... what is this garbage?

Early missile cruisers experimented with overcomplicated, expensive reloading systems until they realized they can just do a vertical launch straight from the magazine with less fuss and maintenance issues. That's today.

So in the future.. they are.. .. you know what.. this is the tech demo with the space enlisted guy mopping 700-900 years in the future so so never mind...

Oh.

Well maybe it's for access to the missiles and not a 4 pack like it kinda looks like, or maybe you can use "alpha UEC"? Thankfully the website is very unclear.

edit: the $70 ones seem to be 2 packs... so maybe $35 per missile?

Remember: we are offering this pledge ship to help fund Star Citizen’s development. The funding generated by sales such as this is what allows us to include deeper, non-combat oriented features in the Star Citizen world. Concept ships will be available for in-game credits in the final universe, and they are not required to start the game. The goal is to make additional ships available that give players a different experience rather than a particular advantage when the persistent universe launches. Additionally, please note that all decorative ‘flare’ items will also be available to acquire in the finished game world.

I got to be an early buyer to get that custom flare.

4 packs, or even 2 packs, those seem like great deals. Disregard my concern. I was mistaken.

Back in Super Metroid, when I'd walk over a 10 pack of missiles just for killing an enemy, man, I was really ripping Nintendo off like crazy. I must've done that hundreds of times.
