The same person who does "HEY YOU WANT A POWER FANTASY VIDEO GAME WELL HOW ABOUT INSTEAD YOU ARE OLD AND DIE AND NOTHING MATTERS" could probably actually get away with an intentionally understated connecticut kitchen thing about a marriage ending or whatever. -I imagine writing for video games is actually a growth industry and it's hard to get employment as a writer. Not that those folks will, hopefully. I would trade all of those points in for "a lot of MFA/PhD writing programs will accept morons who can pay tuition", though.
