I'm still not sure that the PvdA isn't capable of returning to government. I mean, they're perfectly at home an a right wing cabinet.

"TAKING RESPONSIBILITY" I also have a feeling that, now that Asscher is out, Dijsselbloem will straight up run the PvdA. Some PvdA shill in Volkskrant today wrote that it's "time for the PvdA to learn from this result and return to the policies of Wouter Bos!" which was the funniest thing I read all day. The Volkskrant is hilarious. Shibawanko fucked around with this message at 22:28 on Mar 15, 2017 |

I can see Dijsselbloem returning as finance minister (and the only PvdA minister) in a scenario where the PvdA becomes the fourth coalition party to VVD-CDA-D66. They would totally take such an offer and it would be endlessly funny. Dijsselbloem has already hinted at this in Volkskrant this morning. He was asked if the PvdA would join the coalition and he said "that doesn't seem likely. we do need something to govern" which is basically a thinly veiled "negotiate with us please. we are bitches without shame" Meanwhile the same newspaper has the gall to call Dijsselbloem and Koenders "the best and the brightest of social democracy" who were oh so wronged and misunderstood by idiot voters. You know the party that lost a single seat while it's rival lost 30.

I want Dijsselbloem to go away back to his pigs and he's probably reason one, two and three why support for the PvdA collapsed. But if your biggest rival on the left gets absolutely wiped out and you don't profit from it at all, you've probably done a bad job.

All of the Volkskrant columnists talk about how they voted PvdA, every single one. Grunberg tried to say it in a weird hint, like "i voted for the party that most resembles Martin Schulz. it wasn't greenleft and it wasn't d66. guess who i voted for!" The joke's on him because Schulz is at least some kind of leftist and the PvdA doesn't actually resemble him, although Grunberg probably thinks it does because he's a rich, cloistered rear end in a top hat whose lifestyle isn't affected by government policy. This is the guy who travelled to Thessaloniki during the Greek economic crisis and basically said "eh, everything seems to be okay!" based on a weird theory that you shouldn't go to the capital city of a country if you want to get an idea of how things are going there, but to the second biggest city or something. I still read that loving newspaper though because it's funny to me to read their PvdA We Hardly Knew Ye sob stories about being betrayed by voters for their sound policies. And all of the other newspapers are even worse.

I wonder if greek terrorism will be blamed on the inferior cultural norms of Greece and the evil backwards religion of Greek Orthodox Church that should be fought against and we should ban all Greeks from entering Europe. The political happenings and the Greek financial strangulation by the EU never happened, this is all evil Greeks.

Schauble is this century's Heinrich Bruning with the bonus that the people suffering from his policies don't vote in his elections so he'll just keep schaubling until the EU collapses or the entire continent is covered in Pepe flags, whichever comes first.

Can't avoid it. The Parool newspaper originated as an underground resistance paper in WW2 but now has a literal fascist as its political column writer, Theodor Holman...
