I think I can sort of vaguely tell what the joke is supposed to be but having to decipher it like this kills all the humor.

Perfectly understandable. I actually like it a bit better that way, since it shows how the jokes are constructed well enough that you don't need words to get them.

I'm sure there's a mod you can install to reduce the spawn rate if it gets too annoying, Ghost Who Grinds.

Also, is there a point to Mother From Another Country other than the author furiously wanking himself over how superior Koreans are compared to some imaginary foreigners?

It's not even hypothetical. She wants to bang him (or something; these characters don't seem to know what sex is), he barely knows she exists.

Bernice seems to live almost entirely in a fantasy world. She's made up all this stuff about Piro, and she absolutely never interacts with him just in case it turns out reality doesn't match her imagination and the whole thing falls apart. She also has this paranoia that other people will find out the things she's made up (not find out that she's made them up, find them out as real facts) and spends all her time and effort trying to protect secrets that don't exist from people who don't care.

Her roommate sometimes tries to get her to relax, and even Gunther is as helpful as anyone could expect him to be, but neither of them know her that well and aren't around her enough to really do anything. Luann, of course, is too self-absorbed to have noticed anything is wrong (with her supposed best friend) and Tiffany doesn't really have any reason to interact with her, so Bernice is basically on her own, gradually digging herself deeper into her delusions.
