Well, the turret looks wrong to be a T-34 or IS-1/2, so the part of the description saying when it was made and decomissioned is wrong. Looks like an IS-3 from turret and hull design, so built in 1945 at the earliest. That said, not surprising it runs given they've yanked T-34s out of literal swaps 70 years later and gotten them running with basic tools. But yeah, that motors fuuuuucked.

Most Soviet tanks tended to have an auxiliary compressed air start system and engine run air compressor, simply because you will not get any reasonable battery to start a 40L V12 diesel in Siberian winter temperatures. It's the same engine that's in T-34s and all the IS series, there are quite a few videos of those things being woken up after 60 years in a swamp. I guess there is not much to go wrong, as long as the fuel filter is clear and it can draw air it should run. Also yeah it's an IS-3, so the video title is right but only just, a few were manufactured during the war but too late to see combat, I have no idea where the idiots at the Daily Mail got 1943.
