The beard thing seriously sucked. I love my beard and have to get oil or balm now so I don't look homeless and crazy (I still do)

This stems from a conversation in class. A dude in my class has plates that have his Bronze Star w/V on them. Is this super tool like, or just fine and a way to get out of tickets? Most of the civilians think it's awesome, most the vets think it's tool like, and the dude who did it says he did it to impress chicks (Ha!) and get out of tickets.

B with v seems like where it's cool. Like I feel like the v qualifies it for being something actually dangerous. I get am totally fine with dudes who did something ballsy enough to get that award through the militarys bullshit process, they can roll through a couple stop signs.

You don't have to believe me, but I have been pulled over he the officer call in K9 when I was just over the NM border. I asked why, and the cop said a lot of CO people bring it down. This dude drives to see friends in KS most weekends, so it isn't it if the realm of reality.

Saw a Mercedes SUV with big decals on the back window of a CIB, HALO badge, Bronze Star, and SF crest. They took up about 40% of the window. Quiet Professional my rear end.

Looking forward to seeing the stories about how the Staff Sergeant got a Bronze Star, but the Specialist got an AAM with a C for the same thing, and the argument that will ensue. Also waiting for the first person to have an award with "VCR" on it having to explain that to someone. Edit: ^ Yeah, putting your rank on your car has always seemed like the dumbest thing to me. I got an award for a thing (with no V), but dudes from a different unit at the same thing got a V. At the time nobody really knew anything about how to write up a V and we'd had bad experiences with them getting constantly getting kicked back, so it was easier to just put in a normal 638 with nothing additional.

Yeah mil poo poo has got me out of a ticket as well. Some of you guys are way too melodramatic, the military was loving gay and sucked rear end but I am still proud of what I did and it's okay to be proud and still know just how lovely it is. Plus civilians are stupid and don't know either way anyway.

Especially when I mention disabled. Only when I need to use it to my advantage like that. Otherwise mum is the word.

I don't know about how other states handle it, but disabled veteran plates in TX mean no registration cost and no tolls on most tollways. You also get free registration if you want the medal plates for MSM and higher.
