The Punisher is from the 80s when the idea of a righteous extra judicial rear end kicking was a popular concept, so of course he was popular. Times change though so now he is a good character because he's ostensibly a hero but so fundamentally flawed and damaged it's interesting to read.

Things like that can be surprisingly tasty. A while ago I ended up eating some weird turkey dish featuring pineapple, raisins, banana, and almonds, in a cream sauce, all with cheese on top. It really shouldn't have worked, but somehow it did.

I'd be totally ok with this if it wasn't a piece of canned pineapple just half rear end thrown on top. It takes like 5 minutes to chop up a fresh pineapple. At least grill it or something drat.

At least grill it or something drat. Sometimes canned works better. It tends to have a mellower, sweeter flavor than fresh pineapple since it's partially cooked when they can it. Fresh pineapple can sometimes overwhelm a dish if it's a good, spritely fruit. I don't know if that's the case here, but it is sometimes.

One time my roommate bought a pineapple and we deconstructed and ate it. Did you know that if you eat a half a fresh pineapple in one sitting your lips will start bleeding? Because I found that out. Fresh pineapple tries to eat you as much as you eat it.

There's an enzyme in pineapple that breaks down proteins it comes in contact with. There's some benefit to it though, it's supposed to be very good to eat when you have a mouth sore. Also you can use it to remove your fingerprints.
