Dan Carlin all but came out in support for single payer on his last show. More importantly, he denounced tax credits and the 50 state system as being obviously terrible.

I think a lot of "libertarians" are just anti establishment types that took the only available avenue of rebellion tolerated in a post cold war society

Lots of the support for "smaller govt" I've been hearing lately are rebukes of crony capitalism as opposed to norquist-esque bathtub drowning/vape lobbying

Accurate.

I think if you pressed people on it? They'd be for things like the ability to ensure we have a legit infastructure, single payer, etc. They're just tired of the hand jobs that occur between wall street and the beltway.

I've gotten conservatives to say that poo poo to me before, a lot of times unprovoked. (ie: "I think it's bullshit we're letting these companies ship jobs overseas", "We need to spend a lot of money on our national infastructure, not in the middle east.", etc)

This is also the case for me.

I need to find the tweet but someone said something to the effect of their new "least favorite person" was a "Rich white female democrat blogger" or something to that effect.

And you know what? loving accurate as hell. It's also funny to hear someone WASP-y as gently caress blame white males everywhere for their problems...despite the fact that they...themselves are you know...are the most cracker rear end privileged motherfuckers ever.

You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you.
I think a lot of libertarians would have been socialists/anarchists 100 years ago what with their hate of elitism and being told what to do, but the cold war made thinking in terms of class politically taboo. In this postmodern world the average American doesn't really have an ideology to form a concrete political opinion around. They blame their grievances of the system on globalism or corporatism or crony capitalism when what they are really talking about is just regular plain old capitalism. But they're just to spooked from cold war propaganda to consider socialism.

I'm talking about the average Ron Paul voter here, not the Koch brothers obviously.

A Wine for The Winds of Winter
Bob Cabral's Iron Throne-Worthy Napa Cab
"Everything's better with some wine in the belly." - Tyrion Lannister

Of course, here at Concierge Sales, we encourage responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages. And Tyrion may take it a bit too far every once in a while, but we can certainly appreciate his zeal and lust for life.

In that spirit, we have a fun one for you. Legendary winemaker Bob Cabral has released a new Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa just in time for the upcoming seventh season, The Winds of Winter.

Bob has been involved in growing and making wine since his childhood when he helped his grandfather make wine. A fourth generation farmer and grape grower, he took all he learned at the family farm near Escalon, California, and applied it to his degrees at Fresno State University.

A fan of Game of Thrones, Bob was challenged to craft wines to match the strength of the characters and the terrain of their kingdoms. His meticulousness and patience has yielded a wine that embodies the spirit of the series.

While Bob has made wine professionally for over 30 years, he believes he has not made his best wine yet. This coming from someone who planted and produced the first 100-point California Pinot Noir from the Williams Selyem Estate Vineyard where he worked for over 16 years, and has crafted more than 100 wines ranked in the 95 to 100 point category. In 2011, he was honored with the Wine Star Award from the Wine Enthusiast Magazine as Winemaker of the Year.

And while this is all for fun and should be entertaining for Game of Thrones fans, there's a takeaway beyond that. With someone as talented as Bob Cabral crafting the wine, this holds appeal beyond just those who follow the series.

So WWTD? (What would Tyrion do?)

I'm pretty sure the answer to that is pour another goblet. Our suggestion, order a baker's dozen. One for each episode remaining in the seventh and eight seasons.

*Please note that this offer is made pre-arrival, with wines estimated to be delivered to your preferred store in 8-12 weeks or when winter finally arrives, whichever comes first. Also note that some stores will have the other two wines of this trilogy available: the Chardonnay and Red Blend. These will not be available through Concierge Sales. Contact your local store for availability.
