Has Freep had threads about the newest Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast, having some kind of gay characters or relationships in it? I'm assuming right wing media is working this because I had to listen to bozos at work go on about this for quite some time the other day, and about how the movie is being banned in some countries because of it. Presumably enlightened countries that America should emulate.

I love that guy saying that he took the money from the gov't to for his care. If for some reason he didn't have insurance, he likely would have gotten the procedure anyway and bill would roll downhill eventually to "the bottom line" which is often picked up by.... the government and/or other payers in a very convoluted way.

It's kind of understandable to want a distinction between "Democratic as in having to do with democracy" and "Democratic as in having to do with the democratic party." On the other hand we've basically seen the the presence of a monarchy is frankly one of the least important parts of a political system so basically no one ever wants to use "republican as in having to do with republics."

Using Democrat to refer to the party has been common for well over a century without being any sort of insult. Don't let yourself get sucked into treating it as an insult just because some oxy-addicted idiot on the radio or TV thinks it is and tries to use it that way, they also think everything good in general is an insult.

Crossposted from Trump Admin Thread: Interesting and disturbing to see how things look inside the right wing media bubble. I went on to Freep to see how the Merkel handshake snub was being discussed. First of all I had to look hard to even find a single thread on the topic. In that thread there is a photo, posted by many, of Trump taking Merkel's hand when she is first getting out of the car in front of the White House, and they had a handshake there before going in for the meeting. So I'm presuming the post meeting photo op was the deliberate snub because he was displeased by the discussion, something pissed him off so he decided to snub her publicly afterwards in a fit of pique. But because right wing articles circulate that one photo, the other event never happened and is FAKE NEWS. Most righties would never read an article or watch the video to even see it. Kind of scary. Here's the thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3535680/posts Lots of charming comments about Merkel's physical appearance, and a good number feeling it's a good thing he snubbed her in that way (competing with the FAKE NEWS NEVER HAPPENED crew).

It's the thing where they cherrypick one example of Obama doing something and apply it universally to him but do the opposite for Trump. Like Obama ate a burger, so he's a pig but Trump had a fancy meal with Romney once so he's a man of discerning tastes. BTW I meant that the dude making that post was fat as hell probably but yeah Trump fat.
