Tempting, but the way z prices are going up, they would probably want like $3k or higher. Assuming the person storing it is still paying or not.

I know nothing about the market for that car, but $3k for a 30 year old anything sounds like a steal to me.

Obviously it depends on whether the engine is restorable and depth of the rust but compared to the 60's and 70's rides I want to buy that's not bad at all. :v:

It's a Datsun. It is almost guaranteed to be rusted, and still worth enough to justify fixing.

Its not, but most cops would rather pull over the guy doing 10-15 MPH over the speed limit because it brings in more revenue and is easier to win in court.

That and a lot of those laws are state, county, and municipality specific. Enforcing them is a bit of a mess

The cops I've talked to say most of the time illegal mods, extreme tint, and so on are used either as a pretense to pull over somebody they want to gently caress with (eg doing something suspicious but not illegal, cop is bored, etc) or to pile tickets on somebody who copped an attitude.

If they're metal, holy poo poo why isn't that car being impounded right now

This is pretty much any traffic law that isn't speeding, failure to control/obey a traffic control device or DUI in the US.

Some youtube prankster needs to find one of those cars at a traffic light, then run a 10' piece of conduit through the spokes so we can see what happens.

Conduit would probably just bend. Now 3/4" rebar? That'd make a noise.

I'm thinking a piece reaching from the front wheel to the back. Once it starts twisting the conduit, either the pipe or the rims have to snap. Either way, someone's not gonna be very happy with the results.
