Oh poo poo TPT is the newbie shitter guild? I joined PBC for literally no specific reason whatsoever and while everyone seems very nice they seem very late-game hunting focused. Is TPT less-so?

All of the goon guilds are a good fit for all tiers of play, just TPT is more newbie friendly with a fairly strict no spoilers policy so newbies don't get spoiled on any story bits. DGKK also has Baph (Facts, drat it Baph get on that). PBC also has Ruan, who loyally guards the trees in their yard. Forever.

PBC, TPT, and DGKK are all very cool and have good people in them. I do like TPT's rule against spoiler policies. Regarding PBC, I try to ask people to tone down plot conversation when there's a known newbie progressing through the plot and they care about spoilers. Honestly though, I'm just happy to know that SE is still planning for FC alliances around 4.1 or 4.2. I have friends in all three free companies and I really don't like having to choose between the three when I'm already very happy and settled in with PBC. Being able to communicate with everyone will be nice.

poo poo, you really haven't played in a LONG time then. That was added in 2.38, but getting your hands on a house is very difficult if not outright impossible. The upside is that each of the goonhauses have...well, goonhauses and there's a new set of wards opening up with Stormblood.

Don't worry too much about looking for available housing right now. After Stormblood hits, there will be a new housing district opened in Not-Yokohama that a huge number of people are going to rush to in search of fancy new oriental digs, meaning there will likely be a large number of vacancies opening up in the existing housing areas. Even if you manage to get beaten to the punch on every single one of those though, there are still apartments!

PBC has a lot of history in its house, namely that we got Plot 13, which is also on x9, y11 in the Goblet, and is thus, the best house. (also we were like the second FC house bought on the entire drat server behind I think BlueGartr?)

Honestly the 2.0 Scions' VAs are fairly on point. Alphinaud's annoying (but it does what it's meant for) and Tataru is inoffensive but just inferior to her HW version. I mourn losing the GC leaders more than anything, really.

Best part of the VA change is that they just made lalafells talk like normal people instead of comically high pitched children. Papalymo's ARR voice was just terrible.
