Today I changed the oil and filter, swapped the front tires (too lazy to do the rears gently caress it), fixed the rear bumper cover (one corner popped off due to my wife backing into something), and replaced the drivers' side front seatbelt receiver. I wish football was back on.

Went to an H-Mart for the first time this weekend and holy poo poo why have I not been going here for years. Their meat section runs the entire length of the store, starting with wagyu beef and ending with sushi grade fish. There's an entire wall of fresh mushrooms. There's a whole room just for pickled stuff. You can buy a can of msg. Just ate the crap out of some really good Bulgogi and a half dozen different pickled veggies.

JIZZ DENOUEMENT posted:It's a fantastic Asian grocery chain primarily (only?) on the east coast. Higher quality, lower prices. It appeared to emphasize Korean food, though it did have stuff from China, Japan, Vietnam, and India as well. The meats were all way better (though more expensive) than anything I'd find in a supermarket around here, predominantly thin-sliced. Heavy emphasis on pork belly and beef short-rib. Friends tell me there is a Chinese knock-off of H-Mart nearby as well. It's called "C-Mart".

this is my favorite thing about H Martquote:In 2006, a civil suit was filed against H Mart for discrimination against whites when three tenants of the West Willow Shopping Mall that the company had moved into and then bought in Willowbrook, Canada. The three complainants, Rose Farrell of Colour Tech Hair Studio, John Pook of Peter F. Pook Insurance, and Lynn Wallace of Frames West Gallery filed a complaint with the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal alleging that the company wanted to turn it into an Asian-only market.[19]

The quality to price is shocking. Basically the only dislike is that it was difficult to find full steaks. But as a dude who doesn't eat full steaks and does eat a bunch of tofu it's fantastic. Apparently there are 3 around Seattle, but none actually in Seattle.

I didnt expect one to be this close to me considering that I have lived here for 5+ years and never heard of the place. Literally the same revelation happened to me after reading that. Just had a tree guy come by today to cut down a tree and grind three stumps. I've never seen a stump grinder in action before, and holy hell does that thing make short work of a stump in just a few minutes. Truly impressive to see the giant pile of mulch left behind. I'm surprised they're not used more in horror movies.
