AAAAA! Real Muenster posted:Same. I eat a lot of Tilapia, Cod, Flounder, and the like, but dont like Salmon or shellfish (other than Oysters) much. Easy Gateway shellfish: Sizzle up a sliced Chorizo (or spicy Linguiça) in a big high-sided pan, add garlic onion and your favorite chile powder (I'm a fan of guajillo for this dish), then toss in some diced tomatoes (a can will do) and simmer until they break down. Toss in some crab legs and a half-pound of mussels (rinsed in cold water, already-open mussels discarded), add stock until at least 1/2 submerged, and then simmer covered until all the mussels open up and the crab legs are pink. Easy Gateway salmon: dice some red onion, submerge in good balsamic vinegar mixed with honey and ground pepper, and set aside. Rub salmon (bought that day) with salt, pepper, paprika, and a tiny bit of chili powder, then cook both sides on medium until flakey. Lay on baby arugula, top with avocado and cherry tomatoes, and then mix some olive oil into the onion-balsamic dressing and pour over the top. My wife hated both these things too initially so I had to work them into the rotation slowly.

I am a loser that cant stand balsamic vinegar, though, so I doubt I'll be trying out that Salmon. Thank you for the suggestions!

Octopus is such an underrated seafood. Also, Hogfish is the best fish and anyone who argues otherwise hasn't had it before.

AAAAA! Real Muenster posted:I will definitely have to consider trying that first suggestion, that sounds like something that would get me started on it. I didnt start eating seafood until I got a job as a server at a higher-end Seafood restaurant ~4 years ago now, and now I eat all of that stuff. It helps that my wife loves those things and cooks them in ways that made the more palatable when I was new to them. Right on. It's basically a classic Portuguese preparation of mussels with crab added (because that poo poo is delicious).

Doesn't matter you're at Circus Circus, it's one of their better rooms and $50,000 (really like $49,720-something) buys you a lot of luxury for a night. Edit: Really though salmon is great. Can't help but wonder if the haters just keep getting it cooked wrong. Too many places gently caress it up by overcooking it. Should just fall apart. If its the texture of chicken your cook screwed up.
