Re-reading the play it's SUPER messed up that only after sending out A2's unit to die the authorities behind the Project come to think "Oh yeah maybe next time let's not give the guys we built just to die full AIs and implanted memory lives they feel strongly about" and even then the reasoning isn't "killing people is bad" but "killing people is okay if it's an alien AI"

Ending C: Two things In the Soul Box how many prizes can you possibly get? What for? Can someone clarify project YorHa and the whole 2E thing? It kind went over my head and my basic understanding is that both YorHa and 9S have been destroyed multiple times even before the game starts, but I'm not sure about the reasoning and how A2 fits in. Ending E: I wanna write a huge post on how much I love the gameplay here, but I just don't know how to put it into words. All I can say is that it is the most uplifting thing I've played which is surprising given everything proceeding it. I can't believe no one has done this before with Souls style messages it's seems so obvious now. Goddamn this game owns.

Any hints on how to get that chest sitting on top of the arch near the castle? I know you can stand on the top of a nearby pillar but I can't quite jump jump quite high enough to make it any further.

There's a collapsed pillar that you can hop onto to let you get on top of standing pillar, which you can then use to leap onto the first arch. Just hop onto the top of each pillar after that and use that to travel to the final arch. You need to use a double jump, a dash, and slowfall to get on top of each archway.

Wow, I just got the true ending and almost killed myself irl When I deleted my save thinking there was more of the true final ending hiding behind it. I redownloaded from PS plus so crisis averted, even though the save is a few hours old and from just before the end of C. Anyway I'm really glad I can finally read these loving spoiler tags and I'm really really glad I finished this absolutely amazing game

Yeah, as 9S weapons are there just to mop up the trash. If you feel like the combat encounter take too long then you should start hacking instead.

Alternatively get a bunch of hacking chips (especially the ones that stun and ignite everything around the target) and nuke everything in your path.

First thing I did on route c was fuse all my chips. Then lose them all immediately because I haven't done combat in 30 levels. Oops. poo poo. Now I have nothing. Man, that's really sad. For 9S, I like Spear of the Usurper (fully upgraded, it can subjugate random enemies with one hit), or a good set of combat bracers (Emil Heads  ). For 2B/A2, I use Faith and Beastlord for maximum style.

Yeah, if you die you should load your last save because gently caress losing all that poo poo. I get that they were going for a Souls-like thing with the corpses but Platinum got it wrong. Way wrong. In the Souls games, if you die twice in a row then you lose all the souls you had on you. That can be a bummer but there's a gigantic difference between that and losing ALL YOUR RARE, EXPENSIVE poo poo THAT IT TOOK YOU FOREVER TO GET IN THE FIRST PLACE. Seriously, what the gently caress, Platinum? Although the corpses can be a good warning to other players. I've walked into a few areas that were absolutely strewn with corpses and that's stopped me in my tracks for a bit while I go "holy poo poo!" And resurrecting corpses can distract the boss for a bit.  So after getting endings A through E and now just doing trophy cleanup, here are a couple thoughts: I played everything except the opening sequence on Normal and I stand by my opinion that the opening sequence is way too hard since you're trying to learn how to play the game. I could do that part in my sleep now but it's a bit much to not be able to save or even get a checkpoint in the first half hour of the game. I still don't get the thinking behind that. It's pretty unreasonable and I wouldn't be surprised if it causes a lot of people to drop the game completely. As a trophy hunter, I find it a bit bullshit that you can just straight up buy most of the trophies. It makes the trophies in this game completely meaningless. If you don't care about that kind of thing then you could argue that it doesn't matter. That's a valid opinion but still.
