The Cards are doing something actually kinda cool this year: for $30 a month, you get an SRO ticket delivered via At Bat to every game except Opening Day, with guaranteed access to any giveaways. (Plus, the ushers at Busch don't really mind if you take over an open seat after a few innings.)

$30/mo for SRO? Thats insane. I went to a random Cubs game the one tuesday night I was in Chicago and spent like $70 for an SRO ticket. I think it was against the Cards but it wasn't an Arrieta start.

I'd probably take that if the Angels offered it, getting a seat is no problem at all even on busy nights. My friend only buys the cheapo $5 tickets and always ends up field level.

Yeah, I would be all over that for Yankees games.

I hate the Cardinals and I would still buy that package if I lived in the city. I would kill for something like that, I like standing anyway.

If there's anything the WBC has taught us, it's that American baseball is literally the worst loving baseball on the face of the earth.

quote:

“I hope kids watching the W.B.C. can watch the way we play the game and appreciate the way we play the game as opposed to the way Puerto Rico plays or the Dominican plays,” Kinsler said. “That’s not taking anything away from them. That just wasn’t the way we were raised. They were raised differently and to show emotion and passion when you play. We do show emotion; we do show passion. But we just do it in a different way.”

I thought I'd share with baseball thread that I'm moving back to Kansas City and so will now be able to go to more than one Royals game per year (two last year) and this makes me happier than I'd like to admit. How are Mizzou sports doing, good, right?

Essentially $2.63 per game if you attend all 80 is a fantastic deal and I have to assume the idea is that most people won't go to a ton of the games, SRO tickets mostly go unsold anyway, and if someone does hit all/most of the games they're going to make a ton off of them in concessions.

Shame it's essentially a season ticket that doesn't entitle you to postseason seats.

Budget-concerned Yanks won't sign them. Maybe one, but not both.

Trout will probably get some insane deal by the Marlins and get traded. Or he gets extended by the Angels and falls from grace Albert Pujols style.

I know it definitely probably won't happen, but the entire reason the Yankees are Budget concerned right now is to get under the luxury tax so they can stupidly spend money again.
