Also worth pointing out that 30 hard no votes means that there will be many more from undecided who will only sign on if needed.

reminder that one major reason trump wants to have the vote today is because today is the 7th anniversary of the passing of obamacare

lol yeah that's coming across loud and clear. From repealing title 1 to trying for a-la-carte coverage, a lot of this seems to be based around making sure men don't have to pay for birth control or mammograms.

Or more importantly, pregnancy.

Future men will not thank them for their disabilities caused by premature birth due to lack of prenatal care, but I'm sure Republicans will convince them it was the feminists' fault somehow.

So this is a sure sign of pure desperation on the part of Ryan right?

Safe to say that today's meeting was a disaster?

Yep. Freedom caucus still wouldn't agree, and "moderate" defections just keep piling up. Anything that gets the HFC on board almost certainly means enough moderates jump to "no" to kill it.

Washington Post has the "no" votes up to 37.

True. No one should be dropping the pressure, but at the same time people also shouldn't have learned helplessness about the GOP always winning/nothing matters poo poo anymore. These guys are so easy to defeat. You need only apply the littlest of pressure.

this isn't a little pressure

the bill has 17% support

you can probably get 17% support for repealing the 13th amendment if you say trump supports it in the question

Requiring coverage for Pre-existing conditions, removing lifetime caps and the Medicaid expansion poll at 75% or higher.

A bill that rolls back all three of those is a suicide pact for anyone that isn't in a R+20 district.

Which is why moderates are fleeing.

But you can't get the Freedom Cockus on board with out them. Their coalition is shaky as gently caress and as soon as Trump starts tweeting bullshit it'll collapse.

this bill has 17% support and the Freedom Caucus hasn't yet gotten coverage for pre-existing conditions and lifetime caps removed

imagine what it would poll at with that added in

I thought removing them was the deal they got from the WH last night? Or was that all speculation?

They're not in yet. They won't be added in unless it locks down the HFC votes, and they keep moving the goalposts.
