No worries. But FYI to anyone, with a spare Diancie I also have a handful of 6 IV Pokemon with the right IVs/egg moves which I can trade. Also several shiny Pokemon which might (definitely) or might not be hacked. And a legit shiny Pelliper.

Speaking of Diancie, I wonder if they're even going to bother with that specific stone in this gen. They seem to have that 'not everyone gets those pokemon, so it's unfair!' mentality with banning them from official competitions. But I have one Diance set up for using the stone and one for not. So then one of mine would just be kinda useless with no access to it.

I only use old Pokemon if they have something new and interesting (Azumarill and Blaziken in Y due to the Fairy-type and Mega Evolution respectively, Alola Forms in Sun) or if I'm doing a gimmick run (mono-Grass in OR, Nuzlockes in general). Otherwise I prefer to stick with new stuff, who knows, I could find a new favourite! Like Wishiwashi, Wishiwashi is super cool and good.

I think the answer to old Mons in new games is to just ask the player at the beginning something like: -> I'm here for a new adventure! (Only new Pokemon will appear) -> I'm here for a familiar journey! (A mixture of new and old will appear) and then seed the grass based on their answer.

Alola Raichu is very new and very good my Sun team was Toucannon, Salazzle, Mudsdale, Bewear, Decidueye, and Alola Raichu. See? All new pokemon. Would Alola Raichu be on there if it wasn't New? I don't think so
