Crocs in the Cabinet might be my favourite auspol read from the last year. Paints a great picture of the NT govt as basically a regional local council except more drunk, mental from heatstroke and with $6.5 billion to spend every year.

Private schools bad. Religious private schools worse. Bigotry also bad.

Grundle writes that because non-inner-city views, while "often confused and contradictory", aren't "mainstream", they never get addressed. This is why PHON gets up, because the common link between her and these people is not necessarily the weird hate-fetish but the fact their views are widely derided. The difference is hanson is after the financial benefits of a political career while voters are usually somewhere on the empathy spectrum (by virtue purely by not having gone into politics).

You could take an ultra-hardline sectarian public school position and win politically without ever being a bigot based on this petition and the comments, but the greens will never leave the inner city mentally and labor never really dumped the white australia policy.
