Is it a mistake to just EMP a bunch of enemies when you have the chance if they're in the open? I mentioned I EMPed like 4 enemies last week, (also myself) we all kind of just moved 1 and then the battled resumed, and there didn't seem to be a great effect. I suppose it's best if at least 1 is going to go over an astroid (or board edge). I'm always afraid of wasting one-shots, especially on fragile ships like the stolen tie. Is there something better to take along as an escort for the VCX-100 besides the stolen tie bomber? The concept of a small ship that can drop a thermal detonator or cluster mines to clutter things up seems fun, but it's incredibly fragile and doesn't have a very good damage output. I don't remember if I mentioned, but I ran a variation of the Sabecc/Quickdraw list with Ryad, since i don't have Vessery. I kind of feel like I really don't understand how to fly aces well, and compared to a swarm they just don't get the health or firepower output. (Trying to joust the swarm was most likely my problem, maybe I should try this list again)

The Y-Wing will be the first placement so you know sure as poo poo where the other 2 ships are going. I know J5K turns best to the left, but its worth setting up on the left side to get in to range one sooner. Wouldn't getting into R1 be the best option? Bump like a drunk driver to keep the Y-Wing from being able to land and arc every turn and force Biggs out of position? It just seems to me if they did not treat stress like it was the cooties and leaned into it you would have a much better chance. Even stressed out the scum list is way more maneuverable than the rebel list.

(He did Poe + Biggs + Braylen for Regionals season) When I played Fenn Zuck Man against him, Manaroo was straight up on perma-block duty to gently caress up everyone's actions, limit their defense, and hopefully pile some damage onto Biggs or the control piece if Biggs can't be shot. It was still a challenge, because Braylen had a rear arc and Poe was virtually impossible to kill 1on1, but it was the only reliable way to take him out. Heaver's version with Miranda is pretty scary to Fenn, because bombs, but it's also far less maneuverable and the control aspect is gone the moment someone gets behind the stresshog. Mindlink lists, especially alpha-strikey ones, should just get the gently caress in there and nuke Biggs on the first turn of real combat. If Biggs is still alive at the end of the second combat round, you've lost the game. So accept the stress, and kill that fucker ASAP so you can focus on the real threats. I would have straight-up jousted him, running Fenn behind the jumps so they're in the way of Miranda's SLAMs.

Mostly doesn't seem too terrible, though the 'your dial gains blah' one is very poorly thought out since... physically, how? Easily phrased as 'when you reveal a 2 straight you can instead do a 1 straight, when you reveal a 3 bank you can instead do a 3 turn in the same direction' though.

I reworked that TIE Defender/Defender Arcade marquee and turned it into a t-shirt graphic and threw it up on my TeePublic store.  Plan to get one printed and sent out before I bring D's to the next local tournament.

Hopefully something other than X-Wing, too. One hangar bay, prelims, and the single team epic game are about the limit of the amount of x-wing I can fit in a three-day period. My prelims consolation was being able to say that three people lost to a list with both a Kihraxz Fighter AND A Quadjumper in it!
