I always found it weird that I could wear a sweet sci-fi robot suit and be immune to fire, but couldn't then wear it to be immune to just being sort of hot. Also that I could take a couple steps in some places and go from "warm, but nothing I need special clothing for" to "literally bursting into flames in seconds."

One time I got into a fight with a Yiga guy going to a stable I'd never been too and this gerudo lady ran in and liked, acted like she was gonna do something but only got like one hit in. She was cool so I just slow walked with my new friend the rest of the way. Another time I got ambused by two Yigas near a Goron and they just stood back and yelled "Go get em, little guy!" so that was cool too

Reason #215 BotW is the best game, Prince Sidon's english voice actor is the same as Brock from Pokemon. He also voices the Old Man but eeeeh that wasn't a good performance.

I finished all the shrines and I'm cool with the cap and tunic but yeesh those pants. No thank you I will pass on the boy shorts of the wild. Also turns out that the "LttP blue mail" set up with the cap dyed white and the champion's tunic looks pretty stupid, probably because the LttP blue mail looked stupid too. Green cap and tunic with hylian trousers it is!

I loved Breath of the Wild. I've never played a single player game that I felt this engaged with. I really hope Nintendo sees this as a platform to build on, though I know they're going to want to experiment more with the series, and that's fine. That's what led to this game. There are a couple of tweaks I'd like, maybe a stronger distinction between what elixers and meals do, tools like hammers and leafs getting a separate category from weapons, and less invasive Champion abilities (like, if Daruk's protection just made my shields and weapons more durable, that would be great) are all that really come to mind. You can climb in the rain. It's tricky, but if you do a fast count to four or five and then leap, you'll gain height. Slipping is at specific intervals.

BOTW hard mode: Every NPC and enemy minus bosses are replaced with cats. stepping on one unleshes other cats to maul you similar to hurting cuccoos too much.

I checked out some youtube video of a speedrun for this game and it's pretty fantastic and hilarious what kind of tricks and exploits have been discovered already. The current record is about 45 minutes. Some highlights: -Stasis a boulder, whack it, climb on the side, ride it from Stasis shrine to the Temple of Time. -One-shotting a Lynel with Ancient Arrow (it doesn't even kill it normally, it just kind of sucks it into oblivion) -Double jumping for extra distance by starting to shieldboard and cancelling it -Using arrows to make enemies look away from you so you can sneak attack them -Some kind of glitch where you don't take fall damage if you're in the animation of readying your weapon to throw it? I really like that the developers said that you can just run from the Great Plateau to the final boss and they meant it. It's amazing that ALL of the content in the game is essentially optional. I wouldn't because it would break in 3 hits. That's one of the few things I really dislike about the durability system. All of the joke weapons have crap durability so you can't really have fun with them. Just let me kill Ganon with a mop Nintendo.
