If it helps, it's not farts and poop because the guy thinks it's funny. Or, at least, not ONLY because he thinks it's funny. It's deliberately playing on childhood fears/taboos, and the theme of the game is the author's complex relationship with religion and his very religious family.

Granted, it's all spread pretty thin, but it's earnest and the gameplay is solid.

Color Splash may be an OK or even good game, but it came out way too late in the Wii U's cycle and has middling reviews. It's hard for me to really care about it at all.

Not to mention Sticker Star burned me hard. I despised that game, and nothing Color Splash's previews + review cycle did inspired me to give it a honest shot.

Maybe if they brought it over to Switch I'd give it a honest shot, since there's at least a couple of goons willing to defend it.

You should really give it a try if you can find it cheap. It's much much much better than Sticker Star. The writing in it is hilarious and the world is fun to explore.

What screen protectors do people use/like here? I was going to get this (amFilm Tempered Glass screen protector) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N3ASPNV but had read a few places that the adhesive starts to show up in the corners after a while.

Also, are there any recommended (preferably hard shell) cases that can store the ac adaptor and a few game cards?

They're pretty close imo. I still like Super Mario RPG most out of all the Mario RPGs. The visuals don't really hold up now but the music is still great and I love the insane amount of little details and secrets in it.

Late SNES RPGs were all so loving good. Mario RPG, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger.:hellyeah:

I really really wanted to like TTYD but it just never clicked for me, the writing, characters, setting, and story just didn't mesh well for whatever reason. I'd gladly give it another shot if it came out on the Switch's VC though.

Maybe I set the bar too high because Paper Mario is probably in my top 3 games.

I wanted to like Color Splash, the graphics, setting, and dialog were charming (even if every Toad was the same) and there were some clever levels (the stadium where you're sneaking through the windows and the MGS level are particular standouts) but the battle system got old really, really quickly and I got stuck on one level where you had to shoot targets from a ship. For some reason I just couldn't get it right and after 10 or so tries I turned it off and never came back... and, more importantly, haven't regretted that decision.

So you know how every time you get a Paint Star, it ends the chapter with you floating over the giant obvious object that lets you progress to color it? Well when you get to the Green Star, there's nothing left on your map, so you float off the map for a second and come back and Huey is like "wow, that was weird but I'm glad we're back". Then when you return it to the square it forms a giant rainbow leading to Bowser's Castle and you're like "cool, let's head to the world map". But when you try to climb it on the map you fall, so you go back into the square thinking wtf and try to climb it again when everyone's like well I guess you're not going that way... until the Mario Kart 8 lobby music starts playing and Luigi comes bursting in on his kart. Then you ride on his kart to get to the castle while Rainbow Road music plays subtly in the background, it's amazing.

edit: oh, you found it while I was typing.
