Is Shadowland the most forgettable event Marvel put out? I honestly don't even know what happened in that book outside of the Marvel vs Capcom stage and I guess Bullseye dying for a a few years.

Oh yeah that was just even as forgettable about lasting outcomes. I think Bucky was thought dead again, but got better again. And I think Juggernaut got switched to Colossus for a while or something.

Bucky died in issue 5 or so and returned in 7.2 two months later

I said goodbye to the Power Rangers when I was younger than 10 (over 20 years ago), dipped my toe into the recent comics just to see if there was any life still in the old premise, and even I've got newfound nostalgia thanks to the comic.

They're pretty cool. They don't have the same voice of the Power Rangers TV show though.

On the other hand, that makes reading Rita Repulsa's dialogue absolutely hilarious when you use her actual voice.

So yeah I'd recommend trying them out while on sale.

It's basically "what if Power Rangers cared about continuity and characterisation deeper than a puddle back then"?

I still really want Boom to do a PR anthology book where different creative teams do stories from across the franchise. One arc could be Dr K and Ziggy's romance in RPM, the next could be Time Force hijinks.

Maybe next time Rangers.

Marvel, DC, Indies and Cardcaptor Sakura.

Top pick is probably the Fantagraphics female underground comics collection.

Adventures of Superhero Girl is an absolute steal for $2 and everyone should read it. Lighthearted Canadian superhero with some personal problems (gets close to real, but nowhere near somber).

Hellcat is very good. One annoying thing (though this might one be the single issues) is Squirrel Girl uses a lot of footnotes which aren't always given a 'panel' in guided view.

In the indie stuff Lady Killer is pretty fun, so is Lumberjanes and Strong Female Protagonist.

I think it's an acquired taste that didn't age well beyond the era it was created in. I enjoyed the anime series way more than the original manga. The settings brilliant but Shirow's old work feels like Kojima cranked to 11+

It doesn't. Though the main focus of that title so far has been Lex Luthor. Until the recent crossover story with Superman which was kind of a mess.

Make the hop from Jurgens to Tomasi once L+C is over. 'Superman' is what you want. The family story is over there.

I'm not sure if Black Monday Murders is supposed to be continuing but it's currently only 5 or 6 issues.
We Stand On Guard is 6 issues.
All the Phonogram series' are great too.

I suppose a good question would be what you'd consider the upper limit for short.
