Which in turn raises a lot of questions like for example:

The Krogan are all literal psychopaths due to the Blood Rage being a trait that helped them survived one or more of their self inflicted nuclear apocalypses, fixing that would undoubtedly qualify as changing the way they think and making them functionally different people, is it right to do THAT with or without their consent in order to make a universe that doesn't inevitably end in Eternal War between the Krogan and everyone else? Was it a good idea to construct the setting this way in the first place, or have we maybe inadvertently gone right back to Half-Orcs get -2 Intelligence.

I think rape and murder are kind of extreme to compare it to, also what little discussion there was of synthesis in the original ending didn't indicate any kind of brainwashing. I think in the extended cut the Catalyst says synthetics and organics are basically flawed in different ways, and combining them will erase the flaws from both, which I guess does entail changing the way people think.

The defining trait of psychopaths is a lack of perceivable emotion, especially empathy. Krogans have all that, they've just got poor impulse control.

Have the Krogan travel to Andromeda. All of them. Or maybe just give them a shitton of planets off in some corner of the milky way in return for some amount of minerals found or wahtever, adn let them keep killing themselves on their own. It's not like you can't deal with it. And maybe in hand to hand combat a Krogan will gently caress you up, but c'mon, a billion missiles shooting at a million krogan ships will kill them just as quick as anyone else.

restrict their ability to get spaceships for travel once they get to their new worlds.

So what you're saying is we need to enact strict and specially tailored limits on what they can and cannot do as a species due to their, shall we say, beast-like traits and inability to control themselves?

For their own good of course.

Krogan aren't psychopaths, or at least the krogan rebellion wasn't caused by them being psychopaths, it was caused by the Council races trying to throttle a viable threat to their galactic dominance that got way out of hand. I mean, if the Reapers hadn't shown up soon-ish after humanity reached space they might have been next in line for some 'justified' genetic manipulation.

This is true. Though they do also have a built in feature where they regularly flip out into a berserker rage and become wholly immune to reason. A trait that never happens to party member Krogan cuz, ya know, that would hurt our ability to empathize with them so it's solely an enemy NPC and Codex entry thing.

I believe it was the Blood Rage codex entry itself that stated that it was associated with Krogan psychopathy.

Oh my god, no. Characters in stories are not legal persons with protected rights, but elaborate metaphors juxtaposed for their symbolic meaning. It is not productive to analyse the unilateral actions of heroes in the context of consent. Synthesis is the amelioration of the constant of conflict by eliminating the concepts that allow for division in the first place; the ending to Bioware's epic sci-fi blockbuster does not involve rape.

Yeah. It's pretty obvious by the end this is the ending they support, they even make it "the middle path" and make it all different/cool looking.

If you were paying attention to the Leviathan and other reaper convos they all revolve around the inevitable struggle between life/machines and how there was no solution but reapin'. Until the crucible, even the ghost kid admits how it wasn't possible until now for such a solution. This is high concepts of the central story's theme, life vs. machines, nothing to do with individual liberty and bodily autonomy.

They did, and the krogan quickly outgrew the worlds they were given and then took an asari colony by force and when the Council said hey, you can't do that the krogans challenged them to a fight and withdrew their ambassador from the Citadel

It took 5 years to put together the game they poo poo out a week ago but all the remaining flaws are going to be fixed inside a week? If anything I'm curious as to what they need to wait to tell everyone about and why they were unable to release a more detailed statement now...

Still looking forward to an early sale so I can convince myself picking it up isn't a complete waste of money.

I am enjoying playing infiltrator with overload incinerate and cloak because it's basically like being a space wizard with a gun. Also black widow and revenant with vintage heat sinks are cool and good guns. I can shoot off two shots from the black widow quick and let it cool off or take a third and the cooldown still seems faster than reloading. The revenant is good for generic goon cluster mulching.

You can tell him to get hosed, sorry I mean let him down gently, at the conclusion of the story mission on Kadara that allows you to get an outpost.
"You're not the man I thought you were" - that's the official friend zone line.

Incidentally even if you select pretty much none of the love heart stuff the game assumes you're going for it if you do it even once. Reyes is very keen on the pathfinder.
