https://twitter.com/tompelissero/status/847541638956294147 Awful if it does wind up ending his career. He's been dogged by knee issues his whole career but when on the field, he had a tremendous burst off the ball and was a solid all around DT.

TheChirurgeon posted:AKA "Why the Cowboys were able to outplay their level of talent on Defense last year" This is cool, and started looking at the bottom and realized, oh right, the %'s are so low due to how often teams spent tied, so started looking into how often was a team losing: % of offensive snaps while losing: Browns: 68% 49ers: 63% Jets: 63% Jaguars: 60% Rams: 56% Texans: 47% ... Patriots: 17% If anyone wants to calculate the rest, I don't know of an easier way then going to the Splits By Score Differential table for each team like: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/htx/2016_splits.htm ... how did the Texans win 9 games while trailing half the time? OMG Brees and Brady just go away already! Entering a contract year, Drew Brees said he thinks he can play until he's 45. Brees just turned 38 in January and is heading into the final year of an extension he signed last September. While he did say he "thinks" he can play seven more years, Brees didn't say he would, saying he's taking things one year at a time. Even at his advanced age, Brees remains one of the top-five quarterbacks in the league and maybe its best passer overall. If he would hit the free-agent market a year from now, Brees would be as sought after as Peyton Manning.

The 49ers one is interesting, because it seems like Chip Kelly has a good plan to attack the defense to start a game, but then failed in adjustments / talent gap as the game progressed.
