Hello FirstAidKite and other friendly posters. I saved up money for a PS4 Pro and I have Arkham Knight and New DOOM showing up in the mail today and I am going to have a nice weekend of gaming. I have to go to work today though and that is a bummer.

I was really looking forward to getting starting on Nier:A this weekend after finishing Woolly World, but then it turns out you have to beat all the bosses again and yet another bonus level to get the last couple of Yoshis so that's going to be put on hold for a little longer. Unless both turn out to be gigantic pains in the rear end.

At least you're making progress, I've had to replay the same area 10 times or so and I'll get screwed by monsters that spawn out of nowhere or falling Hopefully the devs re-evaluate the karma system in a fair and interesting way because it's frustrating and I've been trying to play it safe

So now that Atlus has made assets for a ton of classic SMT demons for the PS4, not to mention spell animations for all the standard Persona/SMT spells and attacks, what are the chances we get another console SMT game using those assets? We got a shitload of SMT and Persona on the PS2 because Atlus could just reuse the assets they'd made for Nocturne, so maybe we'll get another run of console SMT games?

I've also been watching videos of other people play on my breaks and it's helpful just to see how they approach things, and for getting more information about how the enemies behave.

They're probably using the same demon models for the Switch SMT game, if I had to guess, but yeah, with so much work already done, they probably might as well make some sort of SMT spin-off on PS4.

Just learned that I don't even need to do one of the things I've been struggling with at the shoreline, because he never even figured out it was possible and still got through. Almost all games run better on the Pro with boost mode now but it's not a uniform upgrade across the board, and the changes are subtle enough that unless you're gaming on a 4k display you could better put that money into a baller video card for your PC.

I was tempted to get a PS4 Pro, but yeah, unless you have a 4k TV or monitor (and I don't) there's just no reason to. Some games run a bit better and games like Nioh will have differences that are noticeable even on a 1080p display (specifically, Performance Mode can reach 1080p on the Pro and 720p on the standard PS4), but there's no way that's enough of a reason to upgrade to a Pro if you already have a PS4. If you don't already have a PS4 and you want to get one, you might as well get a Pro, I'd guess. The Slim is definitely cheaper but if you think there's a chance you might get a 4k display at some point in the next few years, a Pro isn't that much more expensive.

same. My PSold is trucking along just fine, although I worry about dust because i don't vacuum enough. My TV is kind of lovely, but it's a 40" and it's a pretty big improvement over my previous TV, which I still have, which is this Yes, I played my ps2 on that TV.
