Chaos are aspiring champs for leaders, CSMs for troopers, cultists for new recruits and 'chaos gunners' for specialists (csm in power armour)

Their operatives are raptors, terminators and spawn.

With the exception of cultists, the rest of the gang get a free mark of Chaos and you get to choose what mark, and every ganger can have different marks.

They have access to blight grenades, inferno bolts, all of their special operatives call fear.

Starting gangs/forces are 1000pts

The special operatives are bought with the new campaign currency 'promethium caches' and unlike Necromunda, you're buying them for one game only.

Yeah, taking a wound just lets a wound roll happen. One a 1 you get -1BS/-1WS and you're pinned. 2-5 you are down but not yet out. 6 you're out.

You get taken out of action and then roll after the game to see what happens. Pretty standard for most of these games.

Why doesn't Mantic sell a lot of their boxes directly on their main page? Like, I want to buy one of their Marauder guntracks to use as artillery for my friend's Orks, but I can only buy it from eBay or from various third-party sellers, which makes no sense to me.

Couple questions. Going to oath this sexy guy tomorrow. Do you think I should match the rubble color to the base or go with something else?

Also, snagged this guy for less than shelf price. Keeper or resell?

Also, Frontline Gaming's commission prices dwarfed the first guy's.

Holy poo poo, I understand now why they gave me this sprue for free. GW's mold lines have somehow inexplicably gotten worse over the time I haven't been building their models.

Mould lines are more a function of where in the production run the sprue was produced rather than an inherent QC issue.

I expect to see more lists in WD or a compendium book if it's a success. These free lists seem designed to cover as many people as possible without closing off that avenue.

I think I'll stick to my HOR kill teams, this seems just a little too small and limiting to get excited about. Do you want a handful of marines or a handful of fire warriors or a handful of necron warriors... :v:

Although I could maybe see myself picking up like 5 orcs or grey knights just to paint them and then playing this as an excuse.

But then if I was going to do orcs, I'd want to paint some flash gitz, and they probably won't be allowed... so meh.

How cheap could scouts reasonably get, though? Lost patrol didn't drive the prices of scouts or genestealers down at all.

I want to kitbash an arbite/enforcers themed team and I'm torn whether to build them out of the cadian bodies with scout shotgun arms I already have in my bitz box, or if I should wait to snag cheap scouts and build them with scout bodies and guns but cadian heads.

Two reasons, 1) Mantic wants you to buy it from your FLGS, because they're trying to build relationships, and 2) Sometimes they have stock issues getting replacements from China, all related to distance, getting a production slot in the factory (which otherwise spends the year making light switches and car dashboards by the million), and needing to wind stock down completely so that they can bulk buy with some confidence of sales in a reasonable timeframe. It's a good mini though, I have 4 of them, come with 2 different guns.

It's a symptom of their Kickstarter model, once their initial allotment of a model runs out that's pretty much it for the model and your only hope is leftover stock at LGS or websites.

Nah, they just come in batches, it's a symptom of small company and Chinese manufacturing, the only time something goes out of stock and never returns is when it's being replaced by a new version. They don't have in house PVC or ABS production, so they can't just whistle up new sprues and have them boxed and ready to ship to stores in a couple days like GW does and can.
