I've got to buy a decent amount (neophytes) so really any drop in price or increased availability is going to be pretty nice

I've got a metal vostroyan squad, so I'm going to direct order the sniper blister and that's 1000 points. Guard can have up to 3 heavies in their 10 man squad.

It's surprising that it's taken this long because this is the perfect way to get me to buy stuff. So many awesome little projects in mind that would be too expensive or too much work on an army wide level.

What is the model with the lowest point cost in the game now?

Grots I think, 3pts a piece. Only thing that comes close to that is 30k's Tech Thralls, also 3pts each.

A regular Militia model is 2.5 points.

Renegade mutant rabble are 3pts. In 30K cult militia levy troops are 2pts a piece.

I only know because I am currently in the process of painting 250guys to make up 500pts of my cult army. The idea of that many bodies for that few points is pretty intoxicating but it it a lot of loving painting, even when just base coating everything.

I am considering selling my chaos army. (Mainly because I bought too many at too high a price and can't be bothered to assemble and paint them all.) I enjoy the hobby and everything, but I regret going with chaos for my army. Its too expensive.

I've spent today down at my FLGS scoping out the Shadow War rules. I am really excited about this release and have been pricing out a scout squad. 1000 gets you 6 whole models. A basic scout starts at 100 points without weapons and the sergeant is 200. I know it's Necromunda and I don't care. I love Necromunda. I am so down for this.

They also have Ld 5 (but get the runtherd), while the renegade militia have D6+4 (rolled for every unit). The militia get lasguns though, which I guess are slightly better than the grot guns?

Does Cadia getting blown up mean big changes coming for the Imperial Guard range? I mean a lot of the plastic sets have Cadian in their name.

Those sets say Cadians but basically it means "vanilla guard" as opposed to special kits like catachans. Maybe that'll change the boxes so they just say "Astra Militarum" but the kits probably won't change. And Cadians are still around because reasons, so even if Cadia is gone... eh.
