Got mine from the Deadzone KS. Mantic has them, but they're currently not being sold singly, they're part of the faction booster

How cheap could scouts reasonably get, though? Lost patrol didn't drive the prices of scouts or genestealers down at all.

Anybody who was buying Lost Patrol was doing so for the game, not for the components. With this, I can see a lot of people buying the game for the terrain and the rules and ditching the models.

Grots I think, 3pts a piece.

Only thing that comes close to that is 30k's Tech Thralls, also 3pts each.

I only know because I am currently in the process of painting 250guys to make up 500pts of my cult army. The idea of that many bodies for that few points is pretty intoxicating but it it a lot of loving painting, even when just base coating everything.

I've spent today down at my FLGS scoping out the Shadow War rules. I am really excited about this release and have been pricing out a scout squad. 1000 gets you 6 whole models. A basic scout starts at 100 points without weapons and the sergeant is 200.

I know it's Necromunda and I don't care. I love Necromunda. I am so down for this.

it's about a wash. Gretchin have a higher BS and come with a Runtherd but have lower S/T/I. They also have Ld 5 (but get the runtherd), while the renegade militia have D6+4 (rolled for every unit). The militia get lasguns though, which I guess are slightly better than the grot guns?

Guardsmen don't have access to heavy weapons, but their specialists can take a wide range of poo poo. Sniper rifle (40), flamer (40), demo charge (50), plasma gun (80), meltagun (95), heavy flamer (100), or a grenade launcher (85 with frag, 100 with krak, 125 with both).

Steel Legion, Cadians, and Catachans all have slightly different access to the skill tables. They're mentioned by name.

The muscle table owns, by the way. Guys can headbutt fools and toss idiots off of ledges.

I really want to make a Catachan kill team now. :getin:. Weirdly, space marines have very limited access to muscle. Only Salamanders troopers and leaders and Space Wolf leaders can get it.

One thing that's missing from the online PDF is the list construction guidelines. You have to take a leader, can have as many troopers as you like, two specialists, and new recruits can only number up to half of your total. Also, unless your list says otherwise, you're limited to 10 models. Basically, that squad wouldn't be legal.

On the bright side, chaos marines all have access to the Muscle skill tree. :v:

Those sets say Cadians but basically it means "vanilla guard" as opposed to special kits like catachans. Maybe that'll change the boxes so they just say "Astra Militarum" but the kits probably won't change.

And Cadians are still around because reasons, so even if Cadia is gone... eh.
