That Mania was boring, poorly booked, unsurprising but for the Hardys, without much spectacle, and terrible. It wasn't the worst, but it deserves a place at the worst's table. lol at the instant "no but see it was okay" stockholm syndrome that instantly takes hold with folks, though.

Also lol just lol at Triple H's 3 wheeler. No one ever looks cool riding those. Plus escorted by cops? Why? You're portraying yourself as this badass scary biker guy having a match outside of the company, but you need police around you? Dude should have gone full Ghost Rider, come out on a bike wearing a skull mask. Skull theme fits in with his usual gimmick and just have some cool effect where it looks like it's on fire or actually set it on fire somehow. HHH's entrance used to be one of my highlights of WM but I feel they've just been pretty meh the last few.

Way better than last year and it was on its way to being great before Trips derailed it. He did his usual psychological jackoff fest that went way too long. Long sell spots are good but when you do them for every loving spot it seems more like the match is in slow motion rather than some kind of cerebral classic. The Wyatt-Orton match was the most egregious of the night. I figured the result would be what it was, which is completely retarded in and of itself, but to have it be a Jarrett-Raven lite shitfest was just awful. Orton needs to just go the gently caress away. Goldberg/Lesnar was perfect. The women's match was nothing but was still the second best of the last four which is awful. Reigns pretty much proved anything I've ever thought about him. He can be great against great guys but he's the drizzling shits against anyone that can't carry him. He's a low spot monkey. This show started so great but when it got to the poo poo that matters most to the front office guys it tanked hard, which is pretty much a microcosm of the entire company.

I'm extremely relieved Finn didn't heel turn tonight (and if he didn't tonight I don't expect him to at all, which he shouldn't).

Speaking as someone who hasn't watched either TV show for the past ~6 months (occasionally catching the Network things), I thought the show was real good until the end. Definitely better than last year AJ, Kevin Owens, Ladder matches were all good, HHH Goldberg and Women's were solid. Entrances and outfits were amazing all night Between the Hardy Boyz returning and the proposal it had some real memorable moments Jesus christ the main event was godawful, and the Orton match wasn't much better

First half of the show was good, but HHH/Seth was slow and HHH overindulging his usual "Epic Match" layout, Wyatt/Orton was awful and told a nonsensical story, picked up with the quick and energetic Goldberg/Brock and Smackdown Women's title matches, then Taker/Reigns put on one of the worst Wrestlemania matches ever and a brutal way for Taker's career to end.

I liked the HHH/Seth match. All the selling actually made storyline sense to me. If the TV builds to a moment in a match on ppv, I feel like it's all been worth it.

Would most people agree that half of Mania well exceeded expectations they had somewhere around last Monday night at ~11:15pm and the other half was exactly or worse than they expected? I'd edge my enjoyment on the glass half full side, though. My friends who do not watch wrestling had a fine time and better yet, immediately recognized how poo poo Roman is.

AJ and Shane was...okay, and an okay match with a lovely middle-aged businessman is not exactly where one of the planet's best wrestlers should be at Wrestlemania. Guys like Sami, Braun, and Harper were relegated to meaningless roles in a battle royal on the preshow. Samoa Joe didn't even get an appearance. And yes, the Wyatt thing was the most atrocious of all. I expected the Reigns thing so that softened the blow, but I actually half-believed they'd let Wyatt ride and maybe build a new family and be a dominant champ for a couple more months. If you cover all WWE programming, I enjoy about 80% or so as well - Smackdown is generally solid, Raw is usually 50/50, NXT is always great, the Cruiserweight stuff is good, and their side projects like the British tournament are great. Wrestlemania does and should have a much higher bar, and this one failed to reach it. Don't take it personally

My problem is that when you constantly do these long sells of Seth's knee and then he pops up and does a crossbody from the top to the floor or a Phoenix splash it immediately makes me think the selling is total bullshit and takes me out of it. Have the selling get longer each time as the match goes on or something. But every time HHH did anything to Seth's knee he turned into Peter Griffin selling it because we need like 3 minutes after every spot to think about how smart HHH is.

I thought, like most, wrestlemania was pretty solid up until the ultimate thrillride started going off the tracks. Orton/Wyatt was (as I said earlier) as bland as I thought it would be, and the ending I thought was a forgone conclusion. But the maggots and worms showing up gave me a mighty laugh, so it was better than I thought overall. But man. Like I remember the Undertaker debuting. And falling in love with that character, heel or no, immediately. And following the deadman through the highs and lows. poo poo, even weeks ago I still marked out for the gong. But that? Taker, please retire. That was an awful, pathetic match that is going to take tricky editing to make look palatable. Also hahahah at the never ending Roman Reigns push. We all knew it was coming, and yet it's still beautiful as it unfolds in front of us, like a bad movie or a trainwreck that grabs your attention..
