To me the worst part of the main event besides everything was when Roman beat Taker he just kind of rolled out of the ring and left like he had just finished a squash match with a local job guy. Beating Undertaker at Wrestlemania should be a career defining moment, not just another day at the office.

Was the Cena hate nearly at Roman's level when he was up and coming? I get the sense the Roman hate is more.... hostile. Its gonna be funny though when he retires / is at future hall of fame events and people boo him like crazy Who cares tho Broken Matt Hardy will replace Roman as top babyface when he releases his first t shirt and becomes the #1 merch mover

WM28 was the perfect moment when the old guard should have ridden off together into the sunset. The only smart one was Shawn. Trips is still trying to catch up to become as legendary as his contemporaries, something he will never achieve, no matter how hard he tries and how ridiculous his entrances become. And Taker long overstayed his welcome. If no young talent to retire Taker is at hand, then why not use a respected veteran instead. Shawn vs Ric was the best example how to do it. But no, they had to give the rub to their chosen one and it was a disaster unworthy of someone like Taker.

Two really funny things about Wrestlemania: Dean Ambrose, the man who had a nothing match on the pre-show, had the best match with Triple H out of the three Shield members by a country mile. Stephanie McMahon still thinks the proper comeuppance for an entire year of being a blight to weekly television is a single bump that hardly qualifies as a bump.

Cena never got this pure level of vitriol because Cena has a personality and can work with a crowd. The dude always read the crowd and either A. Seemed to not be bothered by it and accept the fans or B. Find it funny and make the fans like him by playing around with it. Roman is loving horrendous at letting the crowd gently caress with him. He yells at them with weird tantrums/lovely burns, does interviews where he acts like a smug dick about it and he just overall has the aura of "Yeah gently caress all of you. I still get paid to be poo poo, suck my rear end I literally could not care less about this industry and it's fans" I'm sure the dude cares about his job, but he just doesn't seem to really want to get the fans on his side.

Mania would've been good if it ended after the Goldberg match. Also I'm sad Rusev didn't get anything. I really liked the tag match, the KO/Jericho match, and Brock/Goldberg I wish I liked AJ/Shane more. AJ is a god and so fun to watch but I didn't get the whole part of making Shane look like an rear end kicker. The guy is all about big bumps and taking punishment and not about beating people up. The Undertaker match was such poo poo. Independent of the whole Roman thing, the actual ring work was garbage. Also, we've all talked about it but the superman punch/spear combo is so annoying. Having your two moves both be direct attacks and not suplexs/ddt/etc. really gets tiresome.

Here's how you at the very least start repairing Roman and making him a little more appealing: 1) Give him new theme music immediately. Holy poo poo it's awful. Bottom 3 in the WWE easily. I'd go as far as to say Bottom 10 in all wrestling promotions. 2) Turn him heel. Even if it's just for a little bit, it needs to be clearly defined. Not this, "I may have a poopy diaper, but then again, maybe I don't. Mom, dad you'll never know because I'm not telling teehee!!" 3) Play to the strengths he has. He needs to get angry and he was truly at his best when he was the enforcer of Shield and had an "edge" to him. He is just monotone and one-dimensional right now. 4) Lastly, he needs an additional ring-defining move at the very least. We have got his power bomb, Samoan drop, idiot punch and spear. I'll be real--the dude hits the ropes really well. He looks kinda vicious when he puts speed to his rope running. Utilize this. 5) Give him The Rock Bottom and People's Elbow and an eyebrow raise. Just kidding. Or maybe I'm not kidding, you never know world!!!

Plus he had a really drunken pal who did a good bit of talking for him. Maybe give Jeff Hardy a wellness immunity and let him do promos for Reigns.

Cena never got this level of vitriol because if people didn't like Cena there were other companies on TV for them to watch, which if they didn't like the WWE product they would! There is no even vaguely relevant alternative to current WWE, so instead people hatewatch otherwise they would have nothing to post about.
