Alice & Zoroku was nice. The guy seems like an interesting character for sure. I hope it fulfills the role of "cute girl and gruff man get into and out of jams" and doesn't fall on its face like Dimension W did.

Why can't we ever get a mobage adaption where they just give us both gendered protagonists? Just make them cousins so the shippers get an extra factorial worth of combinations. Warau Salesman: There's certain circumstances I like sufferporn and this is not it. This is just random not bad people getting screwed over and their lives ruined by a malevolent force and I will not enable it.

The problem with Laughing Salesman is the it isn't clear how we are meant to perceive him. The people he messes with definitely have some hubris, but they are otherwise relatively normal people who stick within society's boundaries. Its only when he enables their hubris that they gently caress themselves over. We don't know his motivations or desires, and he doesn't work as a force of nature entity either. Hell Girl on the other hand works under a clear set of rules, and its the acknowledge of the nature of these rules that test the morality of each client. As a result, the show is both thematically and mechanically clear and consistent. Neither are clear in Laughing Salesman, so we aren't sure what were watching.

It's not very interesting to watch, though, because the outcome is obvious as soon as the situation is established.
