I like to think of myself as very capable in these games and I almost got wiped by a group of 4 incubuses and had to retreat when I got reckless while low on SP and dashed directly into an enemy I freaked out, took a deep breath, remembered they were weak to guns, and then ann absolutely refused to hit the 4th one with her SMG and everyone else was out of ammo so I got to start freaking out again after the all out attack didnt come I ended up having to use a snuff soul there. What a waste

Kind of hard to hold up and capture new demons when you blow them the gently caress up in one hit with their weakness. I bet I'll have to waste some time and zeni or w/e the gently caress creating low level stuff.

the shadows are drawn to the palaces by sensing the strong desire, once the enter they are warped the palace master's strong desire into whatever fits the palace to protect it, so knights for the castle, and bodyguardsmen as seen in the beginning casino. them changing into actual named demons is just them taking on forms of things known in the human heart and sometimes that's a toilet guy, or a succubus or a penis looking blob or a man on a horse

so slight spoilers on who the third target is does the japanese version also refer to the criminal gang as the mafia or do they say yakuza? it seems weird if its always been mafia, just because im so used to seeing the yakuza in games and other media. if not thats kind of a weird localization thing.

The misogynist parts mentioned in this thread are regarding an arc about smashing little section of your local patriarchy, so if a game is a misogynist piece of poo poo because it portrays misogyny, then yes, it is the aforementioned poo poo piece. It *is* an anime game though so it might be misogynist beyond that. We'll see how many tone deaf breast size jokes there are.

It's entirely possible for a non-trans person to have an opposite gender persona if it's a case like Naotos, just as much as it'd be possible for a trans person to have a same gender persona. It's about the truth inside the heart though, which is why I theorized trans people would often have opposite gender personae.
