I just read about British European Airways Flight 706, which suffered an in-flight structural failure in 1971. Piss leaking from the lavatory corroded away a bulkhead over time. What a way to go.

Knowing British lavatorial culture, I suspect contributing factors to the leak and corrosion not being detected were thick, beige floor carpets, copious air fresheners and shame.

What a waste of time. It is objectively - not subjectively - the Bugatti 100.

I appreciate that in some ways it's the answer to both best and worst at the same time though.

The Bugatti is clearly the most beautiful, the 747 has a certain charm and is not ugly, and the A380 is great if you like girls with fiveheads instead of foreheads

There's something inherently menacing to the Su-27. Compared to something ultra masculine like the F-15, the Flanker looks graceful and super lethal all at the same time. I think it's a gorgeous airplane.

I agree. As far as civilian jets go I don't see how Concorde can't win.

For civilian prop planes I would probably go with one of the flying boats or maybe a racer.

Not that Bugatti, though. That thing is only interesting because it looks too stupid to fly (and I guess it was! LOL).

I think the Bugatti is fantastic, and the perhaps the ultimate specimen of that dashing pre-WW2 art deco era. It needs a fresh take with a safer wing/tail config and an electric powertrain.

I never realised Germany went for Mig-29s. What year are they from? In my head it's design before, delivery after the German Reunification but I guess not
