Sucks to be an honest trader I guess, but at the end of the day a defective item is a defective item. Someone's gotta pay for it and it shouldn't be the consumer. The dealer who tried to gently caress over my dad for $500 had no qualms about trying to wave off a defect in a car he sold less than 30 days beforehand by pointing to the "excludes electrical faults" small print in the warranty.

The new rules here are putting the finger on the retailer that has less idea there could be a manufacturing issue that would cause problems (looking at you consumer Samsung for washing machines and phones that like to catch on fire). The hate on a brand is going to turn from a brand to a store. The store might have a buying group behind them, but its 'Dave's Local poo poo' that is going to cop the hate with the new laws.

Those things can and will seriously gently caress you up if you're the one getting hit by them. I'm not sure whether brass knuckles would be included in "blunt objects" or "personal weapons" in the crime stats, but more people are murdered with either of those things than are murdered with rifles or shotguns. Way more. Grandpa's experienced a personal tragedy and that's a shame but he's being dumb.

Personal means like hands and feets. So of course that would be higher since most people have hands and feets.

Just because the guy who shot them isn't at fault doesn't mean its not a tragedy. They were teenagers who in all likelihood would have matured past petty crime if they had the chance to, but there are consequences to one's actions and unfortunately they won't get that chance. This is why its better for family members to avoid the press after horrific events like this, too often they end up saying something that makes them look bad because the emotions are running so high.

At the point where you have an organized group of multiple people armed with anything breaking into someone's house with a getaway driver waiting outside you know what you're getting into. gently caress their idiot grandpa.

I remember one recently where a guy was robbing a store with a gun, and he got beaned with a headshot by a bystander. The parents said that their son was murdered, because even though he had a gun he was never going to actually hurt someone! And also that shooting him in the head was an unnecessary "kill shot". So yeah, people don't say rational things when their idiot family members reap what they've sown.

If you block of just one lane of a two lane road, people are going to just get in the other lane and keep on going because they're idiots who don't think about why the road is being blocked off, just that, "Hey, this lane's open."

Yeah, it's nothing to really go 'rah rah' about. The ending sucked for everyone involved. I do like how they put "mastermind" in quotes about the girlfriend. Because there was nothing intelligent about her scheme.

Seriously, gently caress these people. My parents' home was invaded about 4 years ago, in the middle of the day, while my dad was home. Two guys, one unarmed, one with brass knuckles, beat him nearly to death and left him lying in a pool of his own blood. It happened so fast that my dad was unable to get to his gun, which was hidden only a few feet away from him. Brass knuckles are no loving joke.

I remember I had a student who decided one weekend it would be fun to go to Dallas and just bust into a random house. Report I remember said he was just doing it for fun, and had no prior knowledge of the house or its occupants. Turned out a teenage girl was home and he panicked and stabbed her to death. I think the knife was from their kitchen, and he just grabbed it when he went in. He had no idea who she was, nor she him, then she's dead and then he basically just went straight home and sat on the couch covered in blood until the cops showed up. It was such a baffling and horrifying series of events. And those three went in with weapons so they had a mind to gently caress up whoever they found from the get go.
